Dear friends,
Our tour is over and we have been on the road for 43 days and we have driven around 5000 kilometers. If you have followed our previous posts you know that we started in The Netherlands and continued in Germany. We had fantastic days down there.
We took a different route back home through Poland to Sweden as we were booked on the Mönsterås Blues & Roots Festival 2024. It was two well spent days in Mönsterås.
On Friday we played one hour on the ”Blues street” and we managed to reach out to many who does not usually go to church. The message was preached together with music. We showed them all that it is possible to be a Christian and play rock and roll.
For 18 years I have had those rock and roll haters chasing me with their weird and legal doctrines. I am only doing what God called me to do and peoples opinions can not stop me. If people think it is not possible to be a Christian and play rock and roll it is their problem, not mine. Because of the music we reach out to people others won’t reach and rock and roll is a fantastic gift from God. Like Larry Norman sang; ”Why should the devil have all the good music”.
On Saturday we played in the Shalom second hand store in Mönsterås during their opening hours and I am surprised how many people came to the store this Saturday. Someone wrote on Facebook that at the end of the last set it was such a peace in the room so you could hear a needle drop.
From Mönsterås we drove to Riddarhyttan where I took my first bath in a lake for this season. We stayed there at Liens camping for one night. One of our favorite places.
From there we drove to Viksjö and brother Stefan’s Mat & Nostalgi retroshop and café- On Monday we signed records and played songs from the new Rockabilly Hymns album and as always it was nice to meet brother Stefan and his family.
We had to rush as we had a ferry to catch home to Finland the same evening but during the trip to the harbor Sebastian realized that we again were booked in the wrong direction. There were no other options than look for a campground and sleep one more night in the Gospel Express bus.
Today, Tuesday May 28th we boarded M/S Aurora Botnia from Umeå, Sweden to Vasa, Finland and the tour is over. It sure has been a blessed time. People have received hope and peoples lives has been changed. Together with YOU and YOUR prayers and support we managed to do what we came to do. Now we are going to have time off and depending on how things turns out with other actors we wait and see how the future turns out. Going to be nice to be at home.
God Bless You All!
