Dear friends,
We are still in Sweden and we hope to return home in the next coming days. We are waiting for parts for the airbags for the bus to come in from Belgium and as soon as the bus is fixed we are returning home. We had our last event yesterday here at Mat & Nostalgi in Sweden when SSRA had their yearly Hot Rod Show. The weather could have been better but we had a fantastic day in so many ways.
Last time I wrote we were about to leave Säffle after some wonderful days there. We left Säffle in a good mood and drove to Hagfors to park outside a local church next to the park where we had two outreach events the following day. When we arrived to Hagfors and the church I did a too sharp turn at a very tight place and a rock was hidden in the grass so one of the side compartment doors got really damaged. That did not just make ma angry but also sad. If someone could have mark the sharp with something this would not have happened and I would not have to fix that side of the bus now. I want the bus to look as representative as possible as we represent the most high of all when we are out on the road. At least Sebastian and brother Billy from Munkfors managed to get it straight the following day but it still looks pretty bad.
The outreach events in the park of Hagfors were nice. The first set it started to rain in the middle of the set but then the small crowd came under the same roof as me. The evening event was much better as the weather was better but again the people did not come to us as we are christians but people listened from a distance. I wrote about this last time.
From Hagfors we drove to Karlstad and parked at the campground there. It was our first time in Karlstad and Friday night was a church and I did not know what to expect. During the day we did a longer bicycle ride and I found a place to take a refreshing bath before the evening at the church.
Pastor Anders picked us up from the campground and took us to the church. This was the first time we met. During the ride to the church I just connected with him right away and I could see a genuine pastor with a heart to reach people, no matter their past. This kind of people I really value high. No prestige, no much talk about the different things that separates and divide us believers. Just full focus on peoples salvation.
We set up the gear in the church and since it was a thing inside the church I had my expectations that it would be mostly filled with people who already believe. I was wrong. There were so many non believers and I had one of the best nights in Sweden in a long time. The church was almost packed and the crowd was really listening and singing along. Afterwards I had some really good talks with some people and that night just made me forget the damage on the bus (but it still has to be fixed).
The following day we drove from Karlstad to Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö. I decided to drive the entire trip 600 kilometers in one day as we have some wonderful friends here who are helping us with the air bags on the bus. We arrived late in the evening, did a bicycle ride, spent some time with the parrots and went to bed.
The following day our friends started to work on the bus and it was pretty much work to remove the upper plates from the airbags that were totally rusted. Rest is fine but those need ot be 31 years old but as I wrote we hope for them to arrive today so that we can return home.
On Wednesday evening it was time for our second grillbuffé and cruise inn evening here and for the second year in a row we got the biggest crowd and that is nothing I am proud of in a proud way. I am more happy that ordinary people wants to come and listen to some rock and roll and a story of how Jesus can change a life, It was a wonderful evening in so many ways. Worth everything and so much more.
On Saturday there were a non official cruising in the little community Indal, 40 minutes from Viksjö. Stefans son, Peter came up with the idea to be there outside the old store and give out hot dogs and coffee to the people and I was going to play. And so it happened. The weather was not on our side but it was such a nice evening and so many people with American cars and young people showed up. I could see how many were paying attention to what I said between the songs and those who did that also took my book that we gave away for free. Another evening worth so much and I played tow long sets. I don’t remember when I have played that much in one evening. I had fun and when people listen I am on and just can’t stop.
Yesterday at the SSRA Hot Rod show a busload of people from the Blueband foundation in Umeå came down to listen to my story so we ended this tour in a very good way.
During our journey we have been on our bikes every single day. We have the goal to do at least 10 kilometers a day and there have been days when we have done 20 and 30 kilometers. I feel really good and the electric bicycle has really changed my life. I am dreaming about a better one for the winter so that I also can ride on the ice this coming winter as I want to continue to ride my bicycle. It keeps me in form and is not so time consuming as walking.
When we return home we are going to have some days off. I hope I can afford a few journeys out in our beautiful archipelago with the boat and of course we are going to be out on our bikes daily. Actually my oxygen level is better now than in many years. I do not think I have been up in 99% with COPD before so the doctor is right when he says that exercise is the best medicine.
GERMANY FALL 2026
We had such a breakthrough this spring during our two and a half months in Germany so we are currently working on setting up a tour in Germany this fall. As it looks now we are leaving for Germany in less than one month from now and our team there is working on getting more dates and especially in the prisons. If we can get a good fall tour in Germany I would be very happy as I want to see God move in peoples lives and it has happened here in Sweden during this tour but there is something special with Germany and how the people there receive the message.
Now we just pray and have faith that the bus will be fixed so we can return home as well as the side compartment door will be fixed in one way or another. We also pray for a good tour in Germany as the reason we go there is our passion. Peoples salvation has been our passion since we started to do this full time in 2008 and this passion has not changed.
Thank you all wonderful Swedes we have met and served with. Special thanks to Stefan and Monica, Peter and Erik here at Mat & Nostalgi for our few weeks together this summer. Thank you all who have helped us out and prayed for us and thank God for moving in peoples lives.
God Bless!

Liebe Freunde,
