Many challenges this winter!

The spring is in the air and this winter has had too many challenges in my opinion. First we came back from Sweden and I started to feel ill and felt my lungs were not working as they should be. Tried many different medications prescribed by the doctors but nothing really helped. During our days in Sweden in December I received the A-virus in some form of mutation that just took the air out of me.

Right before Christmas it got worse and one day the ambulance had to come and give me oxygen and medicine outside our house. Then they took off without me due to our health system being over loaded with patients. We used to have a really good health care system but today they are cutting down on everything and we hear sad stories of people who lost their lives due to doctors not having time or taking the patients seriously.

Two days later my fever was high and I was taken in at the hospital for a couple of days. New medicins where given and I got to come home for Christmas. This trip drove my condition down so I was exhausted after walking a few hundred meters. In October I walked 213 kilometers (132 miles). Since a few years back it has been very important for me to keep myself in shape and have a good condition.

Then this winter was extremely cold and the electricity prices went up so that no normal people could afford to pay their bills without having to do something different. Our bills has never been on a level even near this and it has been a burden since neither me or Sebastian are no longer allowed to receive government funds for the periods we are not working. This due to that we do voluntary work.

With help from God and wonderful people we have survived and I have actually been worried about how things are changing in our society. Not only prices are going up and the health care system are out of control. It seems like most of the human race has lost humanity. What happened to our God fearing country? It seems like people don’t care what the Bible says and they translate the Bible to fit their agenda and their behaviors.

While I could not do any longer walks I had my ”secret place” on the snowmobile out on the frozen sea. I had some really wonderful days out there and some days it was like a dream. So beautiful but cold. I saw eagles roaring over my head and these trips out in our beautiful archipelago made me feel good.

One day before we went for our two week trip to Sweden I decided to do a trip out on the snowmobile and I took the normal route and was on my way north when I heard a big bang and the snowmobile stopped and lots of smoke came out of the engine. Someone saw this and helped me to the shore where Sebastian picked me up. We have wonderful neighbors so we got to use their snowmobile to tow home our broken one. What happened? Well there is a huge hole in the engine and that ended my snowmobile season.

Another place where I have spent lots of time is upstairs in my studio. The new GOSPEL EXPRESS album is ready and will be released on all digital platforms March 27th. The studio has been therapy for me in the midst of all problems. I started the work on another album that is more blues and I decided to call it ”In search of the 12:th bar”. That will be released later this year.

Now I have been doing more walking and instead of pressing myself too hard I am doing two shorter walks per day and the condition is returning in its own timing. I have been practicing the new songs and the new set for our upcoming European tour, starting end of this month. I want to know the songs and be one with the music and as tight as possible as what we do we do for the Lord and He deserves our best!

March 30th we are leaving Finland for Germany and never before have we had this many events in the calendar before we leave. There are some issues to be solved and we have not received all the information but I chose to believe in people when they say something. I am looking forward to to this tour and to do outreach in city centers and biker meetings. We have more prisons and security facilities booked than ever before. I am excited but…

I hate that there always has to be a but… At the moment we have our tickets to Germany, booked and paid for with help from God and wonderful people. We still need to do maintenance on the bus, a full thank of diesel and groceries for the bus. I need to place an order for some musical equipment like strings, cables, a microphone for the translator. Things that we need on the road. The fact is that we are ngative on the account and again, we do not do this to get rich. We just want to let people know about Jesus and last year was most likely the best year in the history of of our 18 year old ministry. Never ever before have we seen so many people receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We have seen God fill people in difficult situations with hope. I am not the type that want to talk numbers as these are not our medals. All glory belongs to God but all inspires us to continue.

I have been bad at talking about money and finances but my mentors, partners and close friends told me that I have to change. Therefore I made a short presentation of myself and what we are doing. We are going to print this up and people are welcome to take one where ever we have a chance to hand one out. We are in need of more monthly partners and we are working on getting a new form of communicating with our partners through WhatsApp in the near future.

My prayer is that we will be able to leave as schedule an that all bills we have at home will be paid for before we leave. God knows our needs and our hearts and we put our trust in Him.
