We had some obstacles on the way!

At the hospital they took all tests and x-rays while I got oxygen and COPD medicin through a mask. They decided to take me in and treat me for pneumonia in my right lung. I just thought that we have to cancel the dates in Sweden but I just felt Jesus tell me it is just a spiritual attack before we leave as something good is going to take place.

I spent two nights and four days at the hospital and I felt that I was carried in prayers. My family visited me and I had so many people by my side that all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart!

It did not take long before I could start to walk around in the hospital and I was re-connected from the oxygen mask. The nurses and the doctors were surprised that it all went so fast but I told them that there are people who are praying for me and Jesus has promised to answer our prayers. I can not say that they agreed to me but still it was a bit special for them. I hope the seeds landed in good soil.

On Tuesday I got to leave the hospital and it felt nice to get back home, even if it was just a few days. Time in the hospital is not time you plan or anything you want to do and it is pretty boring. I have to give lots of credit to the people working hard there to keep people alive and in good health. They do a fantastic job under really har circumstances.

During the days in the hospital I decided that we have to be more seen on social media. Facebook has been the main platform for us. I worked on a good solution to start to share short videos and things on Instagram, TikTok and X as well that we don’t necessarily share on social media so under the links you can just access the different platforms and subscribe and follow what we are doing.

I also reflected on the fact that it is totally my own fault that I have COPD. I started to smoke cigarettes at a very young age and smoked much for a long time. I started as I thought I would be tough. Then I god addicted and even if I got saved I could not imagine a life without smoking. An elderly lady at the church I used to go to back then told me that Jesus will set me free one day and that day came August 16th 2014. I am telling you this as there is a life without cigarettes. And to all you people out there I just want to say, please do not start. I don’t want anyone to suffer with COPD as I do.

Wednesday we packed the bus and I went over all the new songs a couple of times and they start to sit. I have some songs with me on this tour that I never played live before. Both own originals and some good old Status Quo covers since I am working on a rockabilly project with Status Quo covers. More about that later.

Sebastian did such a great and hard work loading the bus and we also took up the boat on the trailer instead of having it at the dock while we are on the road. Actually there is lots of things to think about and prepare before leaving on a tour.

We left home early morning on Thursday, July 9th. We got in the bus, drove to the harbor and on the ship that took us to Sweden in 3,5 hours. It was a pretty early morning and lots of other travelers as it is holiday time now.

We arrived in Sweden as scheduled and drove down to Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö where we unloaded the bus. We had a4oud 100 guitars with us that is going to be sole in the store here. We also had some new signs for the store with us.

It was nice arriving here again and we immediately started to work on the guitar store. The guitar store is a big help for us to raise some funds for our ministry and we are thankful to brother Stefan and Musikhaus Thomann for this unique way of supporting our work.

On Friday we got guests from Germany when brother Thomas from Zwickau came here with our family. He and his son helped with putting up the new signs.

Yesterday was our first public performance here in Viksjö when Mat & Nostalgi had their second car- & bike show this season. The event was very good and lots of people came. I did some music from the stage and shared my life story.

The first set went good for me but I could feel that I was not yet 100% recovered from the pneumonia. I started the second set and after a few songs I just felt that I had to stop and take it easy. People understood that I had just been remitted from the hospital and there were no hard feelings other than in my own head. I felt like a looser who gave up.

This coming Wednesday I will play on their Wednesday Cruise Inn evening so until then I am going to gain some strength. It will be good and we are here where we are called to be. We meet many people in the store and we get into good discussions about Jesus and this on a very natural level.
