Dear friends,
We are getting closer to the time of the year when we celebrate Christmas. Many people just celebrate Christmas by stressing, over eating and giving expensive gifts to one another. This year we have decided to stay low on the commercial side of Christmas and remember the best Christmas gift of all time; Jesus Christ.
The fall have been a bit difficult as I have been fighting pneumonia during the month of November and could not do by daily walks. Still I have had strength to be working on new music and coming releases. I have been in one of those phases when I have had a flow, producing new music.
When writings lyrics I often think about what people need to hear and I am doing
my best trying to fill my music with love and encouragement from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am very open with my personal life in my lyrics and that means that I also share my struggles. I don’t understand the false doctrine of the Gospel about that everything is smelling like roses 24/7 and all the time. Even as believers we go through difficult times and we are far away from perfect. The good news is that we are just here for a while preparing for our eternity. There are two ways when it comes to eterninty; heaven or hell.
God never wanted anyone to have to spend eternity in hell so this is the reason God sent us Jesus, so that we believe in Him we will get saved and receive eternal life. Eternity is a long time and it s you and me who have the free will to decide where we spend eternity. Jesus is the only way to heaven! Period!
We have now been in Sweden for a couple of weeks. We left home December 4th and the bus was packed with guitars for our guitar store in Sweden at Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö. We had lots of guitars with us from a a batch we had with us from Germany. We spent the first two days decorating the store with guitars.
On Saturday, December 6th we visited Kyrka 365 in Timrå, a small church that are more or less open seven days a week. A place for people who are searching for the meaning of their lives to come and hear the best news ever.
We had a fantastic evening and we God was there with His presence that everybody in the room could feel such a wonderful peace. I want more of evenings like these.
The following evening, Sunday December 7th we visited the Betel church in Njurunda for another evening. I shared my life with music and we had a good little crowd and it was another wonderful evening with Jesus in the midst of us.
The week that went by we have been working on more guitars for the store and I have to say that I am very proud of my son, Sebastian. He has become really good at fixing guitars. All from broken necks, sharp frets to electronics. During our time here we have seen between 40-50 guitars receive a new happy owner and that feels good in the heart. It is not always about making money. To be here in the store also gives a fantastic opportunity to talk about Jesus with the people face to face.
Last night, Saturday December 13 we had a gathering here at Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö (in the middle of nowhere). We had a good crowd who seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. I shared parts of my life, the most important parts of course about how Jesus set me free from drugs and alcohol, saved me and gave me eternal life.
We played some music with Pelle Karlsson who is know from playing with many famous names here in Sweden. We are also working on projects together with Pelle under the name The Pelle Karlsson & Pontus J. Back Experience and Christmas song is being made ready for release very soon.
The other projects I work on are very interesting. There are many power ballads I have been writing and we have five tracks recorded with Lelle ”Bingo” Törnkvist on drums and Mikko Rintanen on keyboards. The new full length album ”Gospel Express” is planned to be released before our long spring and summer tour in Germany and The Netherlands 2026.
We are returning to Sweden in February. Thursday, February 12th we are in Betel in Runemo and Saturday February 14th at the Salvation Army in Gävle. We still have some open dates and another gathering is planned at Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö, February 21st. Next year is going to be something really special and we are very excited.
Now it has come to the part when we want to thank all our supporters and people we have worked with this year. We also want to thank all wonderful people we have met on the road this year. To all of you we want to wish:
A BLESSED CHRISTMAS TIME!
