Dear friends,
We had some wonderful days in Zwickau and I had also time to do office work as well as do my walks. Upon our arrival the weather was pretty chilly and we had some rain but what a beautiful area and so nice with both rain and sunshine.
On Friday, May 15th I was picked up by a brother, also named Sebastian. He took me to one of the prisons in Leipzig that we also visited last year. It was a good time in there and I could feel that there was a hunger for God in the room.
We had a good team with us and a very good translator so it all went smooth and we had some small talk and I got to hug each one of them before they returned to their departments. When they were gone we could leave the place and drive back to Zwickau.
On Saturday me and Sebastian were picked up by brother Jörg who took us to Bethlehemstift in Neudorf. A place connected with the Blue cross who work with people who have problems with alcohol and drugs.
Since it was chilly out they decided to have the event inside in a hall. We set up our gear, did a sound check and went downstairs for a coffee. When we got back up to start the place was absolutely packed.
We had a wonderful evening and I could see God touch so many hearts during the time I was on stage. At the end we entered into the presence of Jesus and I had nothing more to say than that Jesus is here. We sat in the presence for a while and I know people got healed as the presence was really something wonderful.
On Monday brother Thomas picked me up and we drove to the prison in Torgau. There we met a wonderful team who constantly visits the prison.
We had a good crowd and they were really listening. When we do prisons it all is about trying to give them as much hopa as possible. The only hope we have is in Jesus Christ.
People have told me it might not be the right thing to do to play my song ”I am free” when I go into prisons but that is one of the most important songs.
I usually tell how Jesus set me free from years of addiction and tell them that if Jesus could do this in my life, He can do it in theirs. I ask them to silently give what ever they want to be free from when I sing the song and at the end I sing ”we are free” as a proclamation of that Jesus has set all of us free from those things we have surrendered to Him.
At the end of the event in the prison we had plenty of time for questions and I was so delighted that they wanted me to play ”I am free” one more time and we did the whole procedure one more time. So wonderful.
Had some really nice talks with some of the prisoners and people have been through a lot. My prayer is that all will go well with these precious people God sent in our way. This was one of those touching times when I could se the body of Christ in action in the prison. Thank you Sabrine and your team for having us there.
We had some more days in Zwickau and I continued to do my walks. On Thursday we had a meeting with parts of our German team about the future and I think brother Michael Beyerlein has laid out a good plan for a future non profit organization here in Germany. Thankful for the team and for him doing all the paperwork that has to be done.
When we were done we hooked up with brother Helmut who came from Hof at the August Horsch museum. We had a very interesting time there with lots of car history from a long time ago.
We saw some really old cars but also how they manufactured them and how it all started. DKW and Audis as well as the legendary Trabants that came later.
The war had a big impact on the car industry and for those living in what then was East Germany it was hard to get a car and the waiting times were long.
It was a wonderful time at the musiem spent with dear brothers Michael and Helmut. I really enjoyed doing something different and I have a dream to one day have an own two stroke Trabant.
On Friday we left Zwickau and drove to our favorite camping in the area here in Stadtsteinach. A small village outside the city Kulmbach.
I took a walk the same evening but now it is very hot, so Sebastian has been working on installing more curtains in the bus to keep the heat out. He did a great job.
Our brother Marko also visited us on Saturday and it was wonderful to see him. We spoke for a while and shared things that had happened and we were both very thankful to God. Brother Thomas in Zwickau and Marko are the reason we are where we are today and it is growing. This is exciting and for some reason I have Germany on my heart.
Last night was Pentecost and for the third year in a row I played the Pentecost party here at the camping. It was a great turn out and it was hot.
When I do ”gigs” like these I chose to be wise and not preach like I do in a church or talk in ”christian terms” that people can’t understand. I play more music and tell something short about every song.
If I start to preach to much it might be offensive but God has provided me with a testimony and a miracle verified by doctors. Nobody can take that away from me and Jesus can do the same thing in other peoples situations as I am just an ordinary man.
It was a fun evening with lots of music and when I was done they wanted more so I decided to do ”Knocking on heavens door” in my Jesus version. It was a wonderful way to end the evening with.
We feel at home here in Stadtsteinach and the people running the camping ar nice. We gave them a signed guitar that they are going to hang on the wall. What a privilege and they let us stay here until we leave on Friday when we return to Oelsnitz and Vogtlandperle. Saturday we have a prison in Coburg and on Sunday morning we have our last event here in Germany in Lichtenfels at a Biker Church service. When we are done we drive up to Travemunde to prepare for our trip home on June 4th.
On June 1st I will be a guest in Trosgnistans TV program ”En halvtimme med Trosgnistan” that is broadcasted on Kanal 10 in Sweden and on Trosgnistans YouTube channel. This is exciting as we are returning to Sweden in July and August and we still have some open dates so just check our calendar and contact us for any questions regarding bookings.
We still have some time here in Germany and as I said I have for some reason Germany on my heart and I have mixed feelings with leaving Germany but it will be nice to get back home in less than two weeks! This trip has been worth so much and more that we can imagine. Thank you all for praying for us and helping us out!
God Bless You All!
