Dear friends,
We are getting closer to the end of this year. While having some time off I have been thinking about this past year and it has been such a happening year in many ways. The year started with a few events in Finland and in February I got had my knee replacement done. It all went good but I got an infection a few weeks later that led to a second surgery. I am glad I got in shape in time as we were getting prepared to get out on the road.
April 16th we took the ferry from Helsinki to Travemünde, Germany and drove to The Netherlands where we started our tour. This was our first time ever in The Netherlands and we had such a great time. I am looking forward to return there next year.
We toured in Germany until late May and during this time we had many wonderful events. We did basically pretty much everything from church services, town outreaches, pubs and bars. It was a busy but very good tour. Thanks to our brother Marko who worked such hard on getting everything together.
On the way back home we did some dates in Sweden and we started at the Bluesfestival in Mönsterås. It was a wonderful weekend and we got home end of May after being gone for one and a half month. People have asked me why we keep doing this? I have asked myself the same questions now and then and the answer is that we just have a passion for encouraging people to believe in Jesus. When someone comes to the Lord it is worth so much that we can’t count it in money.
When we got back home I felt that I did not have any strength and I was taken in at the local hospital again. Now my hemoglobin was low and I got a transfusion. It took quite a while before I started to get my strength back but we kept going on as planned and left for Sweden mid June.
We toured around Sweden and we were pretty much all over the place. We had a great summer with lots of outreach and events outside the ”church zone”. As I always say these places are where I want to be. Sometimes I feel like I am preaching to the choir of saved souls but we all need to hear uplifting testimonies and get encouraged as well. It builds up our faith.
I also keep saying that IF Jesus could do what He did in my life He can do it in other peoples lives. I am no special. I am just a sinner saved by God’s amazing grace and lots of forgiveness. I am still far away from perfect and will never be perfect. I am open with this because I have seen too many churches preach perfectionism. It is not Biblically correct and I gladly share my mistakes and shortcomings with others. People need to know that they are not alone.
We came home from Sweden end of July so it was a long tour. At home I worked on music as well as took some time off with my boat. Between the tours I am mostly around our home or out with my boat. It gives me peace of mind.
This fall I released my first record in Swedish and in October we returned to Sweden for another tour and we were gone for almost two months. We had such a great tour and God works in mysterious ways. Every single time we leave we just have to trust Him and He has never let us down.
It was fun singing the songs from the new album live and we did outreach as well as other events. We visited place we never visited before and we had packed churches. It was such a good way to end this year.
A few weeks back me and my wife did a trip together to Sweden and spent some days with brother Stefan and his family at Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö. Felt great to go somewhere with my wife as well and we had a good trip.
The purpose of the trip was to set up the small music store at Mat & Nostalgi. I have been selling away many of my guitars and other things to afford the different projects we are in the midst of. Check our on-line webstore HERE!
Now I have some time off as I need to take care of my elderly parents. They have cared about me for over 50 years so now it is my turn. Currently I am working on a new Rockabilly album with own songs as well as an acoustic album since I am taking an acoustic set on the road next year.
I want to work out this acoustic set for churches and people who don’t understand the blessings of rock and roll. I have started to go over some songs and I love to play those songs that I wrote when I just had met Jesus. I toured acoustic for many years before I started to do backing tracks of my albums. Now it feels good to also have an acoustic set ready where needed.
We had a wonderful year and we saw people accept Jesus into their lives. People made their decision to follow Jesus and became children of God. We are very happy with 2024 and we want to thank all who have helped us and all we have worked with. We are looking forward for a new year with new adventures. We already have 13 dates booked in The Netherlands and Germany for our spring tour that has extended to a two month tour so it is summer when the tour is over. More about that later.
Now me, my wife and Sebastian would like to wish you all a blessed Christmas and a wonderful new year 2025! Listen to our new Christmas song below!
