Dear friends,
Our adventure has started but everything did not go as smooth as we thought it would go. A while back our clutch broke on the bus and I thought we would have to cancel the entire tour but God had His own plans and we got the clutch fixed on our tourbus. On Friday afternoon after going over some of the new songs I cam downstairs and my wife told me that Sebastian had realized that our passports had expired. I ran to the computer to check if we really need a passport to travel within the European Union and sure we did. It was five minutes until the police station in our hometown Vasa closed so it looked dark.

After some investigations I found out that they give temporary passports in these kind of cases right away but that on the airport in Helsinki. We had no other option than hurry up, pack everything and make our Gospel Express bus ready for take off. Lots of things to do and now we had to leave one day earlier.

We left early Sunday morning, got the amount of diesel we needed as right now our finances did not allow us to get a full tank. Praise God the diesel was cheap when we filled it up with 90 liters. On our way to Helsinki we witnessed the prices go up, so it felt like a blessing.

It was not easy to find a parking spot for our 13 meter long bus at the airport so we parked outside the airport area and walked to the police station and the passport office. They were eager to see our return ticket as well but we did not have a return ticket and I did my best to explain that we do not know when we are returning to Finland. A letter from our brother and booking master Marko Seifahrt was what med the clerk say ok and we were issued our temporary passports. Not cheap but we had to do what we had to do.

Sunday evening we checked in at a campground in Helsinki where we parked the bus, spent the evening with our three parrots that are traveling with us. I was tired and felt a sleep right away.

We spent the first part of the day in our bus on the campground and I did a short walk. I need to bring this new habit to walk active also while we are on the road. I am also going to do all I can to keep my diet as I am very motivated. I lost 10,5 kilograms in the last two months and I start to feel good again!

Now we are on board on Finnlines from Helsinki to Travemunde. The trip takes 30 hours and upon our arrival on Tuesday evening at 9PM local time we start our journey towards Nordhorn where we are going to park for a few days and prepare before we cross the border to The Neterlands.

Saturday April 19th we are going to do two sets at a place called The Gate in Stadskanaal, NL. From there we continue to Filadelfia in Dockkum, NL. Easter Monday April 21st we are going to be in the Ontmoetingskerk in Oentsjerk, NL. Three days in a row is good to start with after being off the road for a while. We end our dates in The Netherlands April 25th in Veendam, NL and right after we are done we are crossing the border back to Germany for our next stop In Marienmunster, Germany.

We have a great number of events booked and more are coming in. I am super excited to play the new songs from both the ballads album ”Still Thankful” and from the upcoming Rock’n Rollabilly album ”Faith you have, believe you do”. Legendary Rockabilly journalist DC Larson from Iowa, USA just released his review of the full album and his words are hear warming.
"Sweden's Rock Pastor succeeds to lofty degree, and that doesn't surprise for three reasons: 1) He's already acclaimed as remarkably gifted. 2) Gathered with him in high-stepping Rockabilly celebration are talents Johnny Hatton, Elna Romberg, Rodger Carter, Mikko Rintanen, and Janne Hyöty. 3) Pontus and associates enjoy the most exalted inspiration from which men can benefit. And that bestowed grace vivifies all touched notes and downbeats."
- DC Larson's JUKEBOX JURY April 13th 2025
It is heart warming especially after you have worked hard the last months on this album. I do not remember me working this long on an album before and I am very satisfied with the outcome. The single ”JESUS LOVES ROCK AND ROLL”was released last Friday, April 11th and is available on all digital platforms. The full album will be released April 25th and will aslo be available on cd through our web shop and at our events.
Now we can say that the adventure has started and we are looking forward to deliver a basic message to the people we meet. A message so clear that no one can say ”I did not really understand what he said”. We have chosen to keep the Gospel simple and that is our calling. Music is a good tool that goes hand in hand with what we are sharing. Thank you all for your support, encouragement and prayers! We made it this far so we trust God that we are going to have a great tour with many people receiving new hope in their different situations!
God Bless You All!
