The summer is almost here and I am having something called "vacation" at the moment. Actually I do not know what that word ("vacation") means but I know that I don't have any meetings or other things scheduled before later this month. When I hear the word "vacation" I think about someone laying on the beach with a cold drink in his hand. Well, I am not laying on the beach as it is still too cold.
Being off the road is good as a change. Since the beginning of this year or even way back I have had some road trips every week. I love being on the road but I also love the time on my own with my family right here at home. My family needs me and I need them. As the summer is around the corner I have now started to fix things on the house and I am continuing where it left last fall. Lots of things to do and sometimes it is hard to find the motivation and the power. Right now I am praying for supernatural strength to do what I have to do. Other things are taking up my mind and I really hope that GOD would change my mindset more and more every day. We need to keep our eyes on the Lord and let HIM change our mindsets. It is not easy when the devil is running around like a roaring lion but still we have to remember that JESUS already won the battle. The battle is not ours, it is finished and the battle belongs to the Lord. It also has a price when you ask JESUS to change your mindset. You have to give up all your own thoughts and bind them as prisoners in Christ Jesus. The good thing is that you can download all of HIS good thoughts and HIS love. This is important to do each and every day. I admit that there are days when I don't take my time to do this. I really want to change.
A new family member
Last week we got a new family member. We have almost always had dogs and now we did not have one. We had a Chow for many years in the past and since then both me and my wife have had a passion for this breed. We had been speaking about a dog now and then when I believe it was GOD who blessed us with a connection so we could get our new family member, our Chow who we gave the name Ozzy. Me and my youngest daughter Jeannette and my son Sebastian picked him up from southern Finland last friday and he is getting established here at home. He is still a small puppy and messes around but he is such a blessing to our family. I always loved dogs and this breed fits our lifestyle very much.
The summer
My so called "vacation" is soon over. During the "vacation" we are doing the last touches on the album and may 20th I am heading to southern Finland and the Hangö area for some meetings. May 25th there is a biker church event in Mouhijärvi that I am going to attend and speak. May 28th our brothers from the Ambassadors For Jesus Christ Motorcycle Ministry in Houston, Texas are coming and we will be on the road together with them for two weeks in Finland and most likely Sweden too. We are nailing down the last meetings for the last week right now.
We are also planning a trip to Church on Wheels summer meeting in Bjärka-Säby, Sweden the first weekend of july and after that me and pastor Ulf Mannebäck will be on the road for another 10 days in both Sweden and Finland. July is a busy month and there is not much space left, just space to come down and breath between the trips. August is very interesting as first Tommy Lilja from PTL-Minstries in Sweden is coming to preach and teach on Frank Mangs Center in Närpes and the week after that Evangelists Lili-Ann Karppinen and Karl-Erik Appelfeldt are coming to the same place for a revival weekend. I promised to take care of the music and I am looking forward to these two weekends at Frank Mangs Center in Närpes.
