I just came back home after being away for a couple of days. This weekend I had most of my family with me and it feels good to have them on board on my trips. Friday started in chaos but later things went ok and we left our hometown Vasa in the late afternoon. Our first stop where in Lapua where we hooked up with our Ambassador brother and 2:d Ambassador Director Veli-Matti Koivisto. We had a good talk and for the first time he told me about the revelation he had some years back when he first saw my picture somewhere. He saw that we were going to serve the Lord together and I remember his first phone calls to me. Today he is one of my best friends and a wonderful brother in the Lord. We had a good time when we met and hopefully we meet soon again.
From Lapua we drove to Jyväskylä, the town where I was born 39 years ago. I was adopted at the age of only a few months and I never had any contact with my biological parents before. It was when I got saved when I started to investigate who I am and last december I met my biological mother for the first time ever. I wrote about this here then and if you want to read about this first meeting you can click here. I also met my grand mother who is a faithful believer who have prayed for me all my life without knowing where I am or who I am. All she knew was that her daughter gave birth to a boy and immediately after this she had to give the boy away. Yes, that boy is me.
Friday night we visited my grand mother at her home in Jyväskylä and it was the first time my wife Hannele met her. It was also the first time for my precious son Sebastian. My beautiful daughter Jeannette met her during another trip that way earlier this year. It was nice to meet my grand mother again and this time I also met one of my aunts that I never met before. My family is getting bigger all the time.
Saturday morning we went to my biological fathers house for a family reunion. I met my blood father for the first time around three months ago and since then we have stayed in touch. Now for the first time ever I met two of my uncles, some more aunts and even more cousins, so the family is really getting big. We had a wonderful time at my fathers house and to me all this feels better than I can explain in any kind of words. It feels like I am healed more and more inside and it feels safe to know who I am. All this would not be possible without JESUS. I have so much to be thankful for. Not to mention that we have some celebrities in our family such as rally drivers Juha Kankkunen and Tommi Mäkinen and big haired finnish singer Anita Hirvonen.
From Jyväskylä we drove to Kurikka where I was speaking at a tent meeting hosted by EVL Kansanlähetys. The tent got almost packed and GOD was with us. In my own strength I could never get people to both laugh and cry. My life story is not a beautiful story but the end is getting better and better each day. It is not over yet and I have so much to do and I feel I have so much to give to others since I have got so much good from God. Imagine that ALL my sins are forgiven! This is only possible through Christ Jesus!
A message to the youth
One thing that I have been thinking and wondering about lately that God has put on my heart is our youth. Our young boys and girls are not well today. This world is changing and if we read the scriptures it will be even worse. My thoughts are also in Norway where one man killed almost 80 people just last week, most of them where young people at a youth camp. What can we do for all our young people to help them out during their hard years. The teenage years are hard especially for girls. This world is setting so much pressure on them without any logical reason.
My message to all the young people today is to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Stay young as long as you are young and stay a child as long as you are a child. Be who you are and GOD created you to be! Believe in HIM and let HIM guide you through all circumstances. There IS a time for YOU when you are grown up and as longer you are a child as better will your life be. You do NOT have to try to be older than you are by acting. You are loved and you are beautiful. You are a creation of GOD and HE wants you to call upon HIS name. HE wants to give you a future and life, a life that never ends. I was scared of death all my life until I gave my life to Jesus. Today I know that the day I die I still will live. My name is written in the book of life and my life is eternal. I will spend the eternity with GOD as my heart believes in His Son Jesus Christ. I might not understand and I might have bad days but GOD is always good. Remember that HE loves you and HE loves YOU the way YOU are!
The future weeks
Next week I am off ministering and will continue working on the house. Of course I will minister to those that God sends my way. Being a Christian is nothing like turning on or off a button. It is about living together with Jesus and as you red in my last post earlier this week it is Gods will that we love other people and take care of them. Otherwise we don't love God.
Soon Pastor Tommy Lilja from Sweden is coming over and it will be his first visit in Finland. He will be the main speaker at Frank Mangs Center august 11th to 14th. During the days he will hold a Bible school about living in FAITH. I am one of his students and I have been very blessed by this man of God so I recommend all of you who have a chance to come to Frank Mangs Center in Närpes those days. The week after that two other evangelists are coming from Sweden, Lili-Ann Karppinen and Karl-Erik Appelfeldt are having three days of revival meetings at the same place. Do not miss these events.
