The last days have been awesome! I left home early friday morning and had the privilege to speak to three groups from the high school in Pomarkku, Finland. The 7th, 8th and 9th grade and I had been warned that some of the students were wild. I did not see any wild students, they all sat down and listened to my life story and to what Jesus have done in my life. I think and almost know that most of them now know that it is not really so good to start drinking alcohol and using drugs. The last group in were the 8th grade and the presence of the Lord was something different. In the beginning of the meeting I asked the students how many of them believed in God and only a few raised their hands. Towards the end of the meeting I could see students weeping and trying to hide their tears. I asked them how many of them feel the special and peaceful presence in the room and almost everyone of them raised their hands. I asked them if they knew what it was and they didn't. It just felt so wonderful to answer them and end the lesson with the following words: - It is God! This is how real God is!
I am sure all of them got something to think about and I am praying for a harvest of young people turn their hearts and eyes to Jesus. This world need a change. Not next week or next year but NOW. Our young people are lost and I feel a big concern about ignorant our country is today when we speak about God. At least I can see a hunger and a thirst among the young people and I believe God is going to raise up a totally new generation that is radical and ready to fight the good fight for the Kingdom of God.
The same evening I spoke and sang at a youth night in the basement at the local Pentecostal church. We had an awesome time and God took us even further in His presence than during the day with the students. I also met with Jukka Mäkinen who is writing the new book about my life and I just feel that all this is the beginning of something new. God is restoring His body and what we need is the word of God without compromises, the power of God in action and His presence. There we have the most important elements and we need to stay even more focused on Him who it is all about; Jesus!
Meetings in Riihimäki, Finland
From Pomarkku I drove down south to Christ Fellowship Church inRiihimäki and spoke and sang at two meetings. One for the youth on saturday night and the other one on their sunday service. Both meetings were good and again God showed up with the same presence. People were weeping and there were a heavy cloud of peace. People were sitting on their chairs leaning their heads against each other and I just feel that there is a spirit of Love coming to take over the Body of Christ. I know it is God's will to love one another and God told me that we have to stop to force people to get saved and we definitely have to stop fighting within the body of Christ and judge others with stones and big rocks. We have to love one another and those who are outside the body we need to love to Christ. Step by step we have to lead them towards Jesus and His cross by loving them with all our hearts and not only that. We have to show the heart of Jesus and the love of God thru us to them so they really can understand that every person is valuable, unique and loved.
During the sunday service an elder man was sitting in a corner watching me and I first thought it was my own "pharisee-scribe" who had sent out someone to spy at me. After the meeting this anointed and bold brother came to me with a message. He said that I am not on my own on the road. Of course not I thought I have God with me. He said that he saw two big angels on both sides on me and they were really big. This was almost like a confirmation to me as the presence of God had been something different the last days. God is doing something and while the "pharisees" and "scribes" are doing all they can to destroy the works that God have called me to do God Himself is taking care of me and new doors are opening. It was also a pleasure meeting my Christian Biker Brother Mikko Honkapää for the first time. A true brother and a man of God. I should call us both crazy for Jesus, very crazy!
Andalucia, Spain
Right now I am in Fuengirola outside Malaga in Andalucia, Spain. It is my first time ever here and after being here for one and a half day I can say that I love it. There are around 20.000 Finnish people living in this area and there are Finnish shops, library, churches and everything you need. I was invited here by Gospel Riders Espana and I knew God had something in mind and accepted the invitation. There have been many attacks and hard things around this but after spending time with these brothers here I know that someone is mad. Someone is roaring like a mad and hungry lion but the Lion of Judah is way tougher and Jesus already won the battle at the cross.
Yesterday I had a day off and did a bit of evangelism at bars and on the street. Spoke to a man and gave him a Bible and shared my life with several people. It feels better here, like it was easier to speak to people. I guess it is the fact that you wont become a prophet in your home town. Now I am far away and while writing this I feel the peaceful presence of The Holy Spirit coming upon me. There is something going on and as God is with us, who can then be against us? We also took a long ride in the mountains with Gospel Riders brother Ilpo Varha and at night we had a wonderful dinner with Ilpo his wife and vice president Kari Peltola.
Today is a new day given to us by grace and I we are heading towards Antequera where the biker rally is held this weekend. We already met some hard core bikers and this coming sunday I will play some of my songs at their bar here in Fuengirola, Spain. I am excited about the coming days and the coming times. I am far away from perfect but I want God to work with me day by day. There are NO perfect people in this world, we are all depending on the grace of God and only The Holy Spirit can do a change in us.
The coming time
October is getting there. Saturday October 8th I will be together with Pastor Tommy Lilja at Filadelfia in Porvoo and on Sunday October 9th we are in Andreaskyrkan in Helsinki. Looking forward to serve the Lord together with Pastor Tommy who also is my Bible teacher and mentor.
October 14th it is time for another "Life in Him" event, this time in the youth house in Laihia. It is awesome with so many youth meetings and I guess it is because God has putted the youth on my heart. End of the month I am traveling first to Sölvesborg, Sweden for a conference and to Södertälje, Sweden for a one night meeting before I jump on the plane in Stockholm and fly to Houston, Texas.
Mission America 2011
In USA we will first attend The Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas and this will be my fourth year at the rally. Our ministry over in USA have also set up meetings for me during my stay and me and brother Samuel Eby have decided to do what the Apostles did so we also can get what the Apostles got during a five day long road trip of Texas. They also have young people in Texas and november 11th we are doing a youth night in San Antonio and from there we continue through Fort Stockton to El Paso and a short visit to Juarez, Mexico. Meetings are getting confirmed along the road but our main mission during these days is to take the Gospel to the streets, like the Apostles did. There will also be some meetings for the homeless and for the alcoholics in Houston, Texas and under the bridges.
From Houston, Texas I fly to Milford, Ohio for one meeting before I end my Mission America 2011 trip in Florida. Dates are being confirmed and God is opening doors. IF you feel led by The Holy Spirit to be a happy giver you are more than welcome to sow into the work we do for the Kingdom. We need to print tracts and cd:s we are going to give away. We need gas and lodging and we also might need to eat on the road. Our goal is to raise 3000 euros before the end of September. Pray with us! We believe in a breakthrough during this trip and we are looking forward for everything to come.
