I am back home after some wonderful and happening days in southern Finland. Friday afternoon I picked up Pastor Tommy Lilja at the airport and from there we drove straight to the Finnish Christian TV Channel TV7 for a meeting with their president. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see two mighty men of God meet for the first time ever. From January 2012 TV is starting to broadcast the first six programs of a global series from PTL-Ministries. I got to see some of the footage and it is not about anything else than about Jesus. No fundraising, no theology, only Jesus. Wonderful footage from Pastor Tommy's crusades in the third world so people can see Jesus demonstrating His power. Personally I believe we are entering at time where the works of The Holy Spirit are going to be even more dominating than before. We need to put all our focus on Jesus and stop trying to fit him in our own forms and systems made by man. Jesus has His own systems and we should follow Him, not vice versa.
If we think we can get people to come to church because of good leaderships and own systems we are dead wrong. What we need is the presence of Jesus and nothing else. On the saturday night meeting we got to see this ones again with our own eyes. When Pastor Tommy Lilja was preaching about these same things the presence of Jesus just got stronger and stronger. At the end of the meeting all of the darkness had to flee as where the light is there can be no darkness. People manifested and Jesus healed, delivered andset people free from sin and other stuff. This is what it should be like at church all the time.
If we do not have the presence of Jesus we wont see any people getting saved or any miracles, signs or wonders. We can not manipulate people to get saved, we can not manipulate paralyzed people to walk and we can not manipulate people wake up from the dead. These are all works by The Holy Spirit!
Sunday morning we both attended sunday church at Andreaskyrkan in Helsinki and after that Pastor Tommy flew home to Sweden and I drew home to Vasa.
Today I have been taking it easy and I have had things on my mind. On saturday night before we left the hotel in Helsinki I went down to the lobby to get a cup of coffee and to wait for Pastor Tommy. There was a rock and roller sitting at a table and I just thought for myself if I should say something to this dude. I said to God that He should open the conversation if HE wanted us to talk. Well, this fellow came and ordered a drink next to me while I ordered my cup of coffee. He started to speak with me asking if I had a gig as I was carrying a guitar. We spoke for a while about this and that and of course I got to tell him about my life and my close to death experience and about my meeting with Jesus at my deathbed. He asked me a couple of questions about how I managed to stop drinking. I told him that I did never stop, Jesus delivered me. He said that people could die if the stopped drinking cold turkey. I told him that I never drank "Cold Turkey" :) He told me that he was in Finland visiting friends while his gal was in Paris working. He mentioned a few friends such as Ville Valo and Andy Mc Coy. We spoke about music for a while and about these friends and I shook his hand and told him my name. He told me his name was Bam and all I could think about was that Todd Bentley use to say BAM when he prays for people. I told Bam this. Today I told this story to one of my brothers in Texas and he said to me: - Don't tell me you met Bam Margera and told Bam Margera about Jesus. I said: - Bam who? Can you spell it? I googled the name Bam Margera and yes, that was the dude I met at the hotel in Helsinki. I am going to pray for him and his friends. God works in very mysterious ways.
The funny thing is that I never heard about Bam Margera before or knew anything about him. My kids and even my wife and everybody I spoke with today know who he is :)
The coming times
October 14th it is time for another "Life in Him" event, this time in the youth house in Laihia. It is awesome with so many youth meetings and I guess it is because God has putted the youth on my heart. End of the month I am traveling first to Sölvesborg, Sweden for a conference and to Södertälje, Sweden for a one night meeting before I jump on the plane in Stockholm and fly to Houston, Texas.
The Thankful album release
The new album "Thankful" will be released for the USA tour. I am looking forward to have the final product with me and what I have heard so far of the new mixes the album will be something different. I have never ever worked like this and I am thankful for so many things. I am very thankful for brother Martin Kantola who have been working with the project and believing in my music. This record will be totally different than any other records or productions I have done before. Now I do not only speak about the songs. To work in a high class studio with a high class and professional engineer and producer is amazing. Without Kantola this project would never have been done and this is the best production I ever have been involved in. The record will also be released in Finland by Aikamedia this fall so get yourselves prepared for the ultimate Christmas gift for your friends and family.
Mission America 2011
In USA we will first attend The Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas and this will be my fourth year at the rally. Our ministry over in USA have also set up meetings for me during my stay and me and brother Samuel Eby have decided to do what the Apostles did so we also can get what the Apostles got during a five day long road trip of Texas. The first weekend of november we are going to be at the Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas. Last year around 480.000 bikes plus even more bikers showed up. The day after the rally we are brining the church to the homeless under the bridges of Houston. Tuesday november 8th I am visiting The Table in the wilderness that is a rehab center and store for people who are recovering from drugs and alcohol. Wednesday november 9th I am speaking at Family Church in Houston, Texas and on thursday november 10th at New Life Fellowship in Seguin, Texas. On friday night that same week it is time for a youth meeting in San Antonio and sunday november 13th we have Biker Church at Big Mike's Harley shop in Deer Park, Texas. More meetings are going to pop up in the calendar for Texas.
From Houston, Texas I fly to Goshen, Ohio for one meeting at Heartland Christian Church before I end my Mission America 2011 trip in Florida with two meetings at the Finnish Pentecostal Church of Lake Worth. Dates are being confirmed and God is opening doors. IF you feel led by The Holy Spirit to be a happy giver you are more than welcome to sow into the work we do for the Kingdom. We need to print tracts and cd:s we are going to give away. We need gas and lodging and we also might need to eat on the road. Our goal is to raise 3000 euros before the end of September. Pray with us! We believe in a breakthrough during this trip and we are looking forward for everything to come.
