Last week was off the hook! After ministering to and feeding the homeless on monday night we went and had a meeting for a group of men who are coming out of alcoholism and drug addictions at a recovery center called The Table in the wilderness. A wonderful night where many of these men could relate to my life. It feels good to be able to give hope to people that there really is a way out and that there really is a much better life without drugs and alcohol.
On wednesday night I was invited to speak at the Family Church of Houston and it was the second year in a row a visited this wonderful church. The service went good and it was really wonderful to have Sister Teresa Sutherland singing with me this night. This church is something different they also have a school. The following morning before we took off to Seguin, Texas we visited the youth chapel and they were worshiping the Lord early in the morning. Compared to the young people I saw among the homeless I now saw young people with a future. This school and church thing just went into my heart and I loved what I saw. It is so good with Christian schools. We should get back to this as thats where the schools came from. The first schools started out in our churches. Now the world is trying to take Christianity out of our churches but we have to stand up and be strong in The Lord.
We had a wonderful ride to Seguin, Texas. It was me, brother Samuel Eby and brother Victor M Flores. I love being on the road with these brothers, they are wonderful people and we do have lots of fun together. Our first meeting on this road trip was at New Life Fellowship Church in Seguin and we were invited by Pastor Layne Diez. This night became something special. I spoke for two hours and sang my songs. God was present in a wonderful way and in a kind Spirit. I liked this church and the leaders, they are really doing a good work for the Kingdom and I believe something is going to explode in this little Texas town. The presence of The Holy Spirit was different and it almost reminded me a bit of my first visit to Lakeland, Florida during the Florida Outpouring back in 2008. It did not feel that heavy but there were something alike that in the Spirit and that can only mean that it is going to explode and signs, wonders and miracles will take place and people will get saved.
From Seguin we drove by Luling, Texas, small old oil town with a legendary BBQ pit where we had lunch. From there we continued to San Antonio. No, Luling is NOT on the way from Seguin to San Antonio, we went for the BBQ! The night in San Antonio was not really what I expected. It was a warehouse with around 40 youth playing volleyball, basketball and pool. The place was wonderful and these kids could come there and hang out and also get served the word of God. I gave my testimony and sang a couple of songs when God started to point out people to me who needed a miracle or people who never gave their lives to Jesus. Nobody came up for prayers when we opened the altar but we prayed anyway. Again I thought that I had just imagined that God spoke to me about these specific persons but just before we were leaving I got it confirmed. One girl got a personal message from the throne room of God spoken into her life and another young girl gave her life to Jesus and got saved. Thats what matters and thats what it's all about; souls!
After spending the night and a good part of the following day in beautiful San Antonio we drove back to Houston. Later the same night me and brother Cele together with his wife drove out to Katy, Texas for a Molly Hatchet concert. The only reason I wanted to go there was because I wanted to touch base with my old friend Dave Hlubek who I used to play with back in the days in the band Skinny Molly that I founded together with Mike Estes (Lynyrd Skynyrd). I had not seen Dave since 2005 and now I got to meet him again. I always loved Dave and it was nice to meet him, even nicer to pray for him. I am sure we will meet again. I checked out the concert and while walking back to the car I just thanked God for that all that rock and roll stuff is over for me. I do not want to go back there. No turning back, no turning back....
Sunday morning we had church service at Big Mikes Harley shop in Deer Park, Texas and it felt good to actually do what we are called to do; take the church to those who wont come to church. As there were bikes parked outside the shop people came in and asked if the shop is open? No, but welcome in to worship The Lord together with us. Some came in and some went out. We had a great time and wonderful fellowship after the meeting.
Now I have had two days off and we have hunted down some Harley that we are going to ship over to Finland. It feels good to have some days off to but I can not wait to get to Ohio later this week for one meeting at Heartland Christian Church in Goshen, OH. After that I am going down to Florida for a week before it is time to return home to my family. I miss my family but I also like it on the road. My biggest dream is to one day do what I do today together with my family. We would then travel all over the world with the best news ever. The message of Jesus Christ.
This trip have been such a blessing so far. Hard work but a very good taste to it. Financially we have made it because of people supporting our ministry. We still have two weeks to go and if YOU would like to be part of this outreach ministry and help us out you are more than welcome with your donation. Use the details in the left navigation bar.
Love you all!
