Happening days in Florida

30 November 2012
Dear friends,

Right now I am sitting at the airport in Orlando, Florida waiting on boarding the flight to Flint, Michigan. Michigan is a totally new area for me and the event at Victory Biker Church in Lennon, MI came up through Mike Eicher, one of my long time Facebook friends. Right now I am a bit tired and I know why. I have been away from home since October 25th and that would be 36 days ago. Yes, I am homesick and I do miss my loved ones very much. I still think that there always is a price to pay living a life of fire. To surrender time with your family to be out serving the Lord is something that is included in the purpose for your life and part of your calling. I am such blessed and thankful to have my family standing behind me in what I am doing and in our ministry.

A wonderful time in Florida

Last time a wrote we had just got back to Houston, Texas. The night at Family Church of Houston was wonderful and what touched me most was the morning service at Family Christian Academy the following morning when I got to speak to the students, youth with a future. After the morning service Sister Teresa Sutherland took me to the George Bush International Airport in Houston and I flew to Fort Walton Beach, Florida where I picked up my rental car. From there I navigated myself to Marianna where I checked in at one of the local hotels. The next morning Brother Robert Happoldt from Heaven's Saint's motorcycle ministry and Heaven's Way Biker Church took me out for breakfast and we spoke about the coming night.

The night at Heaven's Way Biker Church was something special. A small church packed with all different kinds of people out in the middle of nowhere. All you could hear were cows and gunshots. Next day I did a long drive, all the way down to Fort Pierce, Florida where I checked in at another hotel where I was going to stay for the next 11 nights. The first meeting at the east coast of Florida was, Sunday 18th at Central Assembly of God in Vero Beach and we had an awesome time with Pastor Buddy Tipton. Brother Garry Nutt joined forces with me that night and have been serving together with me for all the days until yesterday when I left Fort Pierce.

Wednesday we met our Brother Smokey who is a legend and a street preacher. He invited us to come and minister with him at The Good Samaritan in Port St. Lucie the same night and we had another wonderful night. We got invited to come and do the Saturday night service as well so now the days off became numbered. On Thanksgiving we served together with and under Pastor Todd and Common Ground Vineyard Church on their Community Celebration and Annual Thanksgiving Dinner downtown Fort Pierce. Me and Garry played music and ministered while they served over 13000 plates of food the people in need. Most of those plates where delivered to the homes and this day 2000 volunteers were surrendering their thanksgiving to be a blessing to someone in need. What an awesome day!

Friday night we ministered at the Celebrate Recovery meeting at Common Ground and thats when I received a word. Fort Pierce is an rough area compared to the other areas on the coast but God is going to do some awesome things there and it is going to become Fort Peace. God wants to reach those who are nothing in the eyes of this world as HE is going to make them to be something. Thats what the word of God says! Since the different churches and ministries in the area are so together and in unity I believe that the word came from God. He can do anything!

Saturday night we went back to The Good Samaritan and we had a nice crowd that night. Most of the people from the streets or people who just got out of jail, people in need. Another awesome night when a message of love and hope was preached to those who needed to hear that.

Sunday morning back to Common Ground Vineyard Church for two services! The first service started at 8:30 and it was their Biker Chapel. It was my second time serving at this church and we had a good crowd, both at the early service as well as at the regular Sunday Church service at 10:30. I had three nurses and one vet to come up and verify and state that it is a miracle that I am alive. I thought it was funny with the vet, so did the congregation. If I would have been a dog and showed up in that condition he would definitely have given me a deadly shot as there were no hope to survive. I had two different messages this morning, the first one was about the difference to have faith and to believe. The other one I do no longer remember what it was but thats where I gave the word of "Fort Peace" as well as encouraged all the people to live in their calling. Together we can do a difference and no one can operate on his own. Kingdom work is teamwork.

Monday and Tuesday me and Garry took care of lots of things. We are now establishing PJB Ministries in the USA and Garry is the one doing the files and the paperwork right now. We opened up a bank account and we had a good time with the staff at Chase bank in Port St. Lucie. They must have thought we were nuts, but we are: nuts for Jesus! Me and Garry had some wonderful days together and tuesday night his mother had prepared and made us dinner at her house. Since we were serving on thanksgiving she wanted to make us another thanksgiving dinner and we had such a wonderful night. Yesterday was our last day together and during the day we drove down to West Palm Beach to take care of some business. I checked out from the hotel I had been staying at for ten days and it felt good. When I picked up Garry, just a short drive down the road The Holy Spirit came over us and we had a time of laughter together in the car on US1. It was a long time since I laughed that much, I laughed so much that I thought my head was going to explode. I guess it was God's way to tell us that He is with us and that we have obeyed Him during these ten days together. It felt sad to leave Garry and he felt the same. Never ever have a felt this close to a friend before.

A long friendship

I met Garry back in the day when I played in the band Skinny Molly that me and Mike Estes (Lynyrd Skynyrd) founded together with Dave Hlubek (Molly Hatchet). When Dave left to re-join his old band Molly Hatchet Garry came in on bass and I changed to guitar. I left the band in September 2005 and Garry stayed. Not that much later Garry also left the band. Ever since we met the first time we have stayed friends. Our friendship have had some up and downs and we have walked through some serious storms together but after the time spent with him this time and after all the laughters and tears together yesterday I realize that God had a plan for us two to be friends and do something together before we even knew each other. I just feel that confirmation coming to me over and over again and me and Garry has always, since 2005 had a saying; "we need to speak about the future". We have had some ideas but they never worked out or never took place but this time God is behind and I am excited. Garry is most likely the best bass player I played with in my entire life and having him by my side when I do my songs is such a blessing. It also gives me an opportunity to play a solo every now and then. I am looking forward to the next time I will meet Garry and serve the Lord together with him. If not earlier in Europe, then the latest in March when it is time for the next trip over to USA and a two week tour around Daytona Bike Week 2013. More about that later but I will tell you that God has opened some really serious doors.

Up north

I started to write this update on the airport. Now I am somewhere in the air between Orlando, FL and Flint, MI. I am tired and I am looking forward to check in at my hotel in Flint and relax and take care of my sore throat before this weekends three meetings. Friday night at Victory Biker Church in Lennon, Michigan and Saturday and Sunday in the greater Cincinnati area in Ohio. Next week Tuesday afternoon I will walk into my home and I am looking forward to that.

Life in Him

During this trip we have shot around 15 Life in Him episodes and December will be a good time for me to edit them. I have some meetings in Finland but most of December will be together with the family. This year is soon over and we have a new year, 2013 coming up. Next year is going to be exciting. We start with a two week tour in Sweden in January. We have two weeks in USA in March and in April it is time for the United Kingdom for the first time. Many invitations to different places for next year but I want to pray and see where God wants me to be. I know He wants me to be at home as well with my family and it will be more of that next year. Also I will try to bring my family with me more on the road next year, hopefully in the summer when the schools are off. Do not forget to check the video blog from this trip by clicking here!

Lots of things in the air and right now I am up in the air. We are living in very exciting times, Jesus might be coming back soon and ones again: are YOU ready for His return?

Partner with us

I would like you all who feel led to say a prayer for this ministry to do so. God is opening many doors and many opportunities to share the Gospel all around the world not only by traveling but also through the Life in Him TV shows and programs. Making this costs money and funds are needed. We believe that God will provide in all our needs but we also know that God is using people who can to sow into different projects. If YOU feel led to sow into this ministry you are more than welcome to. We all knows that God loves a happy giver!

Love you all!
In Christ!
