Yesterday me and my son, Sebastian returned home after being on the road for the last 15 days. We left home July 23rd and we took the ferry over to Umeå, Sweden. From there we drove our motorcycles down to Borlänge where we had our first event together with the band, The Betels and Brother Sören Samuelsson from CMA Palm Springs, California. It was an excellent event in the heart of Borlänge in a park. Hundreds of people came to listen to the music and most important of all to the good news about Jesus Christ. We have received reports that people gave their lives to Jesus that wonderful summer day in July.
The following day we played with The Betes outside a closed store in the middle of Tärnsjö. Both churches did this event together and their ordinary Sunday church was moved outside the four walls of their churches. We played some rock and roll and I had the honor to share my life
and preach the word of God. Many unsaved people came to listen and we have to remember that God's word never returns void. Later the same night we played and testified at Älvåsa, a very beautiful place outside Tärnsjö. People came to listen to the music but they also got to hear three powerful testimonies that proofs that Jesus is alive and that Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Two wonderful events in two days.
From there me and Sebastian rode to Karlskoga where we had a couple of days off. We were invited there by the local baptist church and the first night we were welcomed home to our Brother Stanley Eklind and his family for a wonderful night of fellowship and good food. Wednesday July 31st we had the meeting in the baptist church and even if the normally does not have meetings on wednesdays the church was packed. Many came to listen and again I got to testify and show the people proof about that Jesus IS alive. Without Him I would be dead. It was a wonderful night in His presence.
Following day we rode to Gothenburg where we checked in at Betelskeppet. A fantastic ship in the heart of Gothenburg where they take of up to 40 homeless people at a time. Friday night, August 2nd we drove down to Halmstad and Gullbranna for an LP conference. Hundreds of people with a background like me gathered there over the weekend, some of them still in the pit of destruction. We had an awesome time and the band sounded like we had been playing together forever. At both meetings people came forward to the altar cross. At the first meeting many were baptized in the Holy Spirit and we could hear the sound of new tongues all night long. The second meeting was great and people came forward for prayer and some to receive Jesus Christ into their lives. This was the highlight for me this trip. So many people and the atmosphere was something else. Jesus was present.
Saturday night we had an open air concert at Betelskeppet and all seats were occupied. We played some music and I shared my testimony. All who came got free food and it was another wonderful night in God's presence.
On Sunday it was time to leave Gothenburg. As we had bought a new car for our ministry in Gothenburg (an old Volvo wagon) we hired a trailer and after much work we could fit in both motorcycles and the motorcycle trailer in the trailer and start our journey back home to Finland. On the way we stopped at Folkkyrkan in Borås for the last meeting during this trip and again Jesus was in the midst of us and we had a great time. After the meeting we drove to Linköping where we stayed over night. From there we drove all the way up to Umeå where we unloaded the trailer and checked in on the ferry back home to Finland. We arrived at home tired but blessed yesterday in the afternoon and it is nice to be home.
Of course we did a video blog during the trip and you can watch it day by day here!
Not only events and meetings
During the two weeks we have been on the road we have also met people outside the events and meetings. We have had some fantastic divine appointments everywhere we stop to fill up the gas or for food or coffee. God sent people our way so we could share the Gospel with them, give them a book and let them know that Jesus loves them. How it usually works is that someone comes and ask about the bike. Then they continue to ask if it is hard to ride with such high handle bars? The answer is always the same: - I like to praise the Lord. From there it is easy to go into a personal discussion about Jesus and His plan for everyone. We have been very blessed and sometime we have just laughed over how wonderful our God is. Basically we have had the privilege to talk to people about Jesus every day during our journey and we have been blessed by doing this. It is all about Jesus.
Zambia and USA
Next week I am traveling with Pastor Tommy Lilja to Livingstone, Zambia for a five day mega crusade. This is very exciting. After that I am home for one day and then I am off for a two week tour in Michigan and Ohio. I will also visit Canada for the first time and some dates are booked with Teen Challenge in London, Ontario. I am excited about the coming times. Zambia and USA are going to be great, I can feel it. In September it is time to return to England again and that is another trip that I am very excited about. God is keeping me busy and I am forever thankful.
Love you all!
In Christ!
