Right now I am sitting at the London, Heathrow airport in Great Britain, thinking about the days behind and about my life right now. I am a little bit tired as I have been traveling from Livingstone, Zambia to Johannesburg, South Africa and I landed here a while ago after a very turbulent and long flight from Johannesburg. Even if I am tired I am blessed and I feel fresh in my Spirit after being out with my mentor Pastor Tommy Lilja on his missions and this latest crusade in Livingstone, Zambia.
When I left home last week on Tuesday I had a six hour lay over right here where I am right now, in London, England and I met one of my old friends, Pete Rees who I used to work with back in the 90's. He picked me up at the airport and it felt so good to meet him again. We came to the conclusion that it was 16 years since we met last and we found each other again on Facebook. We had a great time and we shared different things from the 16 years we have not met. He did look the same as 16 years ago, I did not see him being any older. When I met Pete the first time he played with The Papa George Band. He later played bass for Gary Moore who sadly passed away a couple of years ago.
For four nights thousands of people came to the crusade ground expecting to be touched by God. Many got healed, lots got delivered from demons and evil spirits, thousands received Jesus Christ and even more got baptized in the Holy Spirit and Fire. We had testimonies of people who stand up from wheelchairs, eyes and ears that opened, legs and backs that got straight etc... too many miracles to list here but most powerful of all were those thousands of people who gave their lives to the Lord and decided to follow Him.
The children ministered to my heart. Children in the age of 7-12 years old stood with their hands raised up weeping. Floods of tears coming out of their beautiful eyes. These children are so precious. Most of them live in bad conditions and many of them are living on the streets without parents. Again I am thinking about where I come from, a country of wealth and health. We have everything and that is why most of the people in our "western nations" are thinking that we do not need a God, we can get what we need with money and when we get sick we trust that the doctors can fix it. We do not believe in evil spirits or demons, we think that all that talk is nonsense and the people who does not understand the spiritual realm think we Christians are foolish. Well, the message of the cross is foolishness to the world, says the word of God.
The last night at the crusade when The Holy Spirit fell after the altar call it became silent for a while. Even if there were thousands of people it was totally silence. When Pastor Tommy commanded all evil spirits and demons to leave we could hear the screams from the deliverance tent and even more people started to manifest in the crowd. They were carried away to the deliverance tent where they were taken care of by people who know how to deal with spiritual warfare. Now you might think I am crazy as well but it is your right to think so. I just wish all those who does not believe in God could come and see a crusade in the third world. That would really open your eyes and if you don't believe in the power of the name of Jesus by seeing it with your own eyes, I do not know what to do.
Four wonderful crusade nights and four days filled with leader seminars. It is not that easy to put up a crusade like the one Pastor Tommy and PTL Ministries did. It takes at least one year of work in advance to get it together and still there is things to make sure so everything works every day.
I am thankful for being able to do this and travel with Pastor Tommy. It is totally different than my ministry but still the same thing. We just work in different areas. He works in the third world with big crusades and I work amongst bikers, in churches, prisons, schools etc... What I love most with these trips together with Pastor Tommy is that I learn lots. Every night he had an illustration on stage where he illustrated the message and there were no doubt about it, it was well done so ALL could understand. It is when a person gets a revelation about the truth and how it is when things starts to happen and it is activated by faith. More about Pastor Tommy and PTL Ministries HERE
To all of you who now are asking what is happened to those precious souls that just got saved I can give you the following answer: There where many churches involved and on the leader seminar there were over 100 Pastors. That is when the discipleship starts. Everyone who get saved get a visit from a church member who is trained to minister to them, not only the person but the entire family. They are being included in a local church and they are being discipled. It actually works good in Africa as the people have nothing but they have Jesus. So many times I wondered how these wonderful Africans can be so happy even if they are poor? The answer is that they have put Jesus in the first place and their joy, peace and strength is in Him. We definitely need the same passion for Jesus as they have. Actually I am jealous and I think that is a good sign!
Home for one day
Tomorrow, August 21st it is 20 years since me and my lovely wife Hannele stood before God and said yes to each other. We made a commitment and stepped into a marriage that have lasted since then. She is still hanging in there as she is the woman, my wife that God handpicked for me. He knew I needed a woman like her. We have gone through some storms because of my past but she has always stood by my side. Tomorrow I am dedicating the entire day to her, she deserves it and way more. I am so thankful that she stands behind me in ministry as well as in all situations of life, I love her to death.
Unfortunately I will only be home for our anniversary. The following morning I am flying out again, this time to the USA. I will be in Michigan, Ohio and Canada for 19 days ministering in different churches, a couple of bike rallies and also do some work with Teen Challenge. Some radio shows are also in the schedule and best of all it is NOT Christian radio. We will preach Jesus to the world! I am excited even if I am tired. The flesh gets tired but the Spirit never sleeps.
I want to thank you all who are standing with us in prayer and support. This is something we do together. Kingdom work is teamwork!
Love you all!
In Christ!
