Right now I am sitting on a train from Copenhagen, Denmark to Kristianstad, Sweden. I will be picked up there and taken to Sölvesborg from where I will work for the next three days. Thursday night I will be home again together with my family. Can't wait!
As many of you might know I have been to England where I have ministered for the second time. First time was earlier this year, in April. Then we had 11 meetings in six days and we saw around 50 people give their lives to the Lord. This time my expectations were high due to the last trip. One thing I have learned and that is to not compare trips. In April we entered a season of harvest, someone had been before plowing the ground and sowing seeds. This trip was totally different.
Due to the english prison system and many of the prisons being run privately we had some cancellations. I was looking forward to go into the prisons again as that is where I want to be. The people in prison are there for a reason and I have a reason to be there as well; to preach the good news about Jesus Christ. We still did two days in the Appleton Thorn Cross Prison, one of the prisons I visited in April and we had a great time. Lives were changed and people received new hope in Christ.
This time was also different since there were not many meeting in churches. Most of the meetings where outside the four walls of the church. The churches we visited was Barnabas Church in Shrewsbury, The Congregational Church in Pontesbury, The Methodist Church in Rixton and St. Mark's Church in Warrington. We had wonderful meetings where the presence of Jesus was thick. People not only received hope, they also received a message that they all are called to be Christ's Ambassadors. If God can use me, He can use anyone!
Last Saturday was special. Together with CMA we visited The Raven Cafe in Whitchurch. They kept the doors open for us to have a meeting and minister to all the Bikers who showed up this day. We had the weather on our side and many stopped by for a meal or a drink. While they were eating they got to hear the good news; The Gospel! I also visited the CMA clubhouse in Widnes one night and there were more people than I had thought there would be. Many of the people who came last time brought their friends and we had an awesome night.
Live on BBC Radio
One of the highlights were a Sunday morning when we were invited to the BBC Radio Shropshire. We got up early and I had the honor and privilege to be one of their morning guests, live on the air. If you ask what we spoke about the answer is simple; we spoke about Jesus and we had several reports from people that listened to the radio and got blessed of what was said.
We did not see as many salvations this time as the first time and I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed at first. Today I feel different as I have heard testimonies about what God have done during these 11 days in England. Again, it was wrong of me to have high expectations and look for big numbers of salvations as now I have learned that it is not about numbers and I can not compare one trip with another. This trip turned out to be a blessing for many people and again it is not about me or any other person, it is all about Jesus. I still would like to give credits to Brother John Rowley who hosted me for the entire time and who had been working for this trip. He did an awesome work. I would also like to thank Sid O'Neill, Rob Davies and Colin Pownall for believing in our ministry and bringing me back a second time. Next trip to England is planned next year. We do not have an exact time yet but we are looking for another ten days before the summer of 2014 and I am looking forward to return to England. The team did an awesome job and I am forever thankful!
Family time
I am going to be honest and say that I have missed my family very much. I love my family dearly and this trip has been one of the harder trips. There is no cure for being homesick. I have been very busy this summer and fall but I thank God for all open doors. I am looking forward to get back home on Thursday and spend 20 days at home before it is time to fly again.
Saturday October 6th I will be at a concert in the church of Kokkola. It is a benefit concert for the prison work in the area and that is something that I do support with all my heart. I have some other appointments in other local churches during my time at home but I will focus on my family and the word of God while I am home.
Mission USA 2013
I leave home again October 24th. First I am flying back down to Sölvesborg and PTL Ministries for their fall conference. From there I am flying straight to Houston, Texas for one week of ministry. The main focus on this week is the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas. It will be the fifth year I attend the rally and so far we have had an awesome time of outreach amongst hundreds of thousands of Bikers. Lone Star Rally is the biggest four day rally in the USA. I will also do a couple of churches in the greater Houston area. October 30th I will be at Second Christian Church and October 31st at White Horse Revival Church. Looking forward to hook up with the Ambassadors in Texas.
From Texas I am flying to California where I have one meeting at Rushing Winds Biker Church in Oceanside, CA.
The plans are still open and I might stop by in Houston, Texas on my way to Florida. There are meetings scheduled in Florida until early December and it will be a long tour. The good thing is that there are days of rest in between the event dates. More information about Mission America 2013 in the calendar.
Love you all!
In Christ!
