Since I returned from England I have had a chance to relax and be together with my family. I had a couple of meetings in the close area of where I live and as usual it felt great to inspire the youth with something way better than drugs, alcohol and crime. We need to take care of our youth as they are the next generation. Also we have now a total of 32 episodes in the Life in Him archives and these programs are also being broadcasted on TV7+ in Finland. We are currently working together with different TV stations around the world, talking about sharing the Life in Him TV show in other countries as well. Right now I am sitting at the airport in Copenhagen, Denmark. I am waiting on boarding the flight from here to Frankfurt, Germany and from there I am flying to Houston, Texas for Mission America 2013. We will start immediately tomorrow with visiting the homeless under the bridges of Houston. Wednesday night we have a meeting at 2:nd Christian Church, also in Houston. Thursday is the first day for the Lone Star Rally 2013 in Galveston, Texas. The earlier years around 500.000 bikers have attended the rally and it is the biggest four day rally in the US. We are there for one reason; to share the Gospel as we are Ambassadors For Jesus Christ. Thursday night we also have a meeting at White Horse Revival Church in Cove, Texas. It will be a busy week. Following week we are in Texas working on new Life in Him episodes. The following weekend me and Brother Cele Monreal are flying to California for a meeting and concert at Rushing Winds Biker Church together with Bikers for Christ. More dates in the calendar.
This weekend I have spent at Folkkyrkan in Sölvesborg, Sweden. I have been working together with Pastor Tommy Lilja with PTL Global TV during their fall conference. Three days together with wonderful brothers and sisters and The Holy Spirit. The theme on the conference was about the Holy Spirit and the meetings were really powerful. I also played two days with the PTL Southern Gospel Band and it was great fun. I thank God for Pastor Tommy who is my mentor and coach. I feel like I am growing being around him as well as I am being renewed in my faith. It is just awesome.
Before I jump on the plane I would like to share something with you all that came to my mind some days ago. It is how we ministers too often speak about the work we do in forms of "I", "the big ME".
Speaking about me I have discovered that we often think to much about me, me and me... I see many people (christians) write about what they have done in "I form" (when I pray for people... I did... I was... I have... and so on...). Many times when I write about ministry, preaching, sharing, evangelizing... I type in the "I" but something just gets me to erase it as quick as I can because when I do (see there it came again "I") it has absolutely nothing to do with me. Lets take an example:
"I" am invited to go to a church and do what I do (share, preach, sing, pray... ministry work). First of all "I" am invited by a leader and when I enter the church "I" am stepping in under the leadership in that church to server UNDER them. Already here it removes the "I" and it becomes "we". During a church service or any other meeting where two or three are gathered everyone brings something to that moment, if nothing else one persons presence makes a difference. Again we see more people join the team and it becomes WE (big letters).
That was a simple example of looking at us ("we") as people (men and women). Still we as people is NOT enough when we talk about the Gospel as there we have JESUS in the center as he is the author and finisher of our faith. IF Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, it is not right to write "I" as HE is what it is all about.
I might write that I have lots of things to do, that is correct but still I do NOT do them myself. This is about when we talk about Kingdom work, work for the Kingdom of God. I should say that God is way bigger that only being involved when serving Him. He is interested in the smallest details of our lives so when we go through struggle, pain and suffering HE is with us and because of HIM we get through our struggle and suffering easier as it is on HIS heart for us to do good and be well. HE is our FATHER who wants to help us in ALL situations! This makes it something we do together with HIM but the difference is that HE does NOT struggle; I STRUGGLE!
Everything good comes from GOD and therefore when we do something we should at least think in the terms of "WE" and be like children and give JESUS a big HI FIVE for being with us making it possible for us to be PART of that thing. Everything negative are consequences of something we did, never GOD as GOD IS GOOD!
Hope you get my little point this Tuesday morning. When we do something it is not "I" it is "WE" but this does not make you unworthy because if JESUS lives in YOU you are more than a winner and it is time to look who you are IN Christ! Again YOU + CHRIST = WE
