Men of Hope - Part 2

Now we have been in Finland together as "Men of Hope" together with our Brother Michael Roberts from Canada. The same day we arrived to Finland we drove up from Helsinki, checked in at our places in Vasa and continued to our first meeting at the church of Nedervetil. It was a great night with many people who came to listen to two life stories about the hope that is in Christ Jesus.

The following day we had two meetings as it was Sunday. We started in Vasa Missionskyrka at their morning service and again people got touched by Michaels life story and about how good God is. The same afternoon it was time for the first meeting of two in my home church, Kvevlax Missionskyrka. It was a very special time where Michael gave his testimony and encouraged the church to walk in love. The service ended with the whole congregation laying hands on us and blessing us on our journey that is continuing.

During our two days off Michael got to meet my family as well as my daughters Jennifer and Jessica. He spent some time with our dogs as well. One night Brother Mats Asplund took us out to his summer place where we got to fish for the first time this year. For me it was amazing as I caught the first pike for the season on my first cast. We had a wonderful night of fellowship and BBQ.

Wednesday we had our second meeting at Kvevlax Missionskyrka and it was a very special night. Pastor Mats Björkman washed Michael Roberts feet as a servant. Michaels own words just ministered to me in a powerful way. He said: - Next time a teolog or bible teacher gives me a hard time for not knowing it all I can say that a teolog and bible teacher washed my feet. It was a holy moment.

From there we drove to my hometown Jyväskylä where we had another wonderful night at Jyväskylän Vapaaseurakunta. Lots of people came and Michaels life story does not leave anyone untouched. From Jyväskylä we drove to the Pentecostal Church of Ekenäs where we had another wonderful night and we were very welcomed. The last meeting this week was Saturday night at Hard Gospel Cafe in the Pentecostal Church of Porvoo and again we had a great time and those who came could hear the message of hope in Christ Jesus.

Being on the road with Michael has been totally different. Me and Michael are quite alike but still so different. This means that we can have a full package of hope when we give our stories. I have had the privilege to share Michaels life by translating him to Finish and Swedish and I have seen the small miracles and the stories about his life being life changing stories about God's amazing grace. A simple message of hope and love and most important of all; to love one another.

I have also seen how the children love Michael and I have seen his heart and his tears towards children with special needs. He is called by God to work with these and there is no doubt about it. Michael Roberts has a powerful life story about how Jesus can change a life.

We have one more week in Finland before we take the ferry to Sweden. We ran into more problems with our car, so pray for us that we can have it fixed in Sweden before we get back on the big roads in Germany for the last week of the tour. One more month of Men of Hope, on the road for Jesus.
