We are NOT saved because we do not sin

11 July 2014

Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters,

Another week is almost gone and I have been together with my family and the weather in Finland has been really hot, almost too hot but why complain when days like these can be counted on both our hands per year. It has been cold for a long time but the weather did a complete u-turn. The same way our lives does a u-turn the very moment we surrender everything and give our lives to Jesus. Today I want to share somthing with you all that has been on my heart lately.

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life, the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us, that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full." 1 John 1-3

It is obvious that the writer (John) had seen, heard and been with Jesus. His writings testifies that he had seen Jesus with his own eyes, like I see my friends, family and other people with my own eyes. As I am writing here today about what I have read, the same way John wrote about what he had seen.

In this first letter, John writes lots about how we break the law when we sin and this is true; we all sin. Still that does not make us to sinners as we are made righteous with Jesus Christ (but we still sin). Our life with Jesus is a process and we will never be perfect and to me that is a relief as I never have to think that I am perfect or better than anyone else. Still I have to carry my cross daily and let JESUS change me to the man HE wants me to be. We are ALL different so HE will not make two alike, but we are still all called to become more like HIM as long as we live this life here on earth. We might take four steps forward but at some point we take a step backwards. It IS ok to fail and it IS ok to fall as long as we don't sin on the grace and do these things on purpose. As long as our heart repents and we are hungry and thirsty for more of JESUS, HE will pick us up and raise us up even higher. I have done mistakes and I have fallen and I will still do so. I pray and hope I never do the same mistakes again as I try to learn from my own mistakes. JESUS NEVER FAILS!

It is obvious that some people think they are saved because of things they don't do (sin). This is not true as John is writing this very clear and even promises that what ever we ask (pray) for according to HIS (God's) will, HE hears us. (1 John 5)

It even says in the word that "what ever we ask we receive from Him". I just think this is awesome and again it does not have anything to do with what we don't do (sin), it all has to do if we keep His commandment. What is then His commandment?

"And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment." (1 John 3:22-23)

YES! We are saved because we believe in JESUS and love one another, as He commanded us to do! While tasting on the word I feel that JESUS really commanded us to love one another and that HE said this with a tone that it could not be misunderstood. If JESUS had written it down today on a computer HE would most likely had used BOLD AND BIG LETTERS, this is how important this commandment is; to love one another!

Therefore I have a hard time standing in agreement with christians who protest against this and that. Lately there have been so much condemnation against homosexuals that I really feel sorry for them. I do not love what they do, neither does Jesus. Jesus does not love everything I do, neither do I! We have a tendens to paint up things and when we go against something, some one or a group of people we are NOT showing the love of GOD. HE loves the sinner but HE hates the sin. How can we then reach these people who we are against if we don't show them the love of GOD? How can we get these people to turn around and be hungry for Jesus if we don't love them with the love we have freely received?

It is a different thing to bless the sin in a church and marry a homosexual couple. Still all discussions like this should be kept within the body of Christ (the church) as when we write on our Facebook pages and elsewhere on the internet, when we go out and protest about this and that we do not represent a loving GOD. Let everyone know that GOD loves them, not only by words, but by action. Faith without action is dead! Jesus is standing there with open arms to welcome the sinner into HIS big family and HE looks at every individual heart. Let us not stand in the way for ANYONE to come to the cross as everyone has that right. Our mission is to LOVE them to the cross and then it is the Holy Spirit who will teach them, guide them and help them to turn around from their sinful ways the same way HE does to all of us daily! We feel it in our hearts and in our spirit when we sin and what else can we do than repent and ask for forgiveness and try our best to not do it again?

Just to clarify so I am not misunderstood. I am NOT saying we shall sin, but we are NOT saved because we do not sin. We are saved because of that we believe in Jesus Christ. It IS as simple as that and as long as we want to change, we want to walk with Jesus, HE will also take care of His part in our daily walk and make us more and more like Himself, that school will not end before we made it through the pearly gate!

GERMANY - SWEDEN

Next week I will fly to Frankfurt, Germany for one night. The purpose of the trip is to meet a Brother who is serving the Lord in Northern India, in the Himalaya's and who has been working together with our church for a long time. Actually the missionary work our church has done there goes back about 100 years. This is going to be a big day in history as the Ambassadors For Jesus Christ Motorcycle Ministry are expanding with a new branch in the Himalaya's and the vision is clear; to reach souls for Jesus there with motorcycles as tools. There is tons of people there who rides motorcycles and most of these are people that are not reached. It is the great privilege to be part of this and it is part of the great commission Jesus gave us: to go out and preach the Gospel to all the world to every creature!

July 21 st me and Sebastian are doing our yearly road trip to Sweden. This year we are not going on our motorcycles due to different reasons, we are going by car. I am excited to serve together with Brother Jukka Mäkikangas and Mission Göteborg again as excited to play together with The Betels again. We are going to be part of an outreach in Kungälv, outside Gothenburg, Sweden where we will play two concerts outside Mac Donalds, July 25th and 26th. From there we go to the LP camp for five days together with people in need. LP is a ministry who works with alcoholics and drug addicts all over Sweden and over 600 people are registered to the camp. It is exciting to see what Jesus will do not only in these peoples lives during these days but also in our lives. After that we have two more confirmed meetings in Sweden. August 6th in Säffle and August 8th in Karlskoga. During the trip we are also going to record 10 NEW episodes for our TV programs Life in Him and On The Road.

We are moving by faith. Please keep us in your prayers that God will provide for all our needs. For those who want to sow a seed into the work we are doing are welcome to use the donation information in the right side navigation bar.

Have a blessed rest of the summer!
