It has been a while since we kept you posted about our mission here in the USA. Right now we are in Palatka resting up after a wonderful weekend at the Gainesville Raceway where we were together with Team RFC on the Lucas Oil Race.
The week before that we visited our home church Fountain of Life Church in Okeechobee, Florida on a Sunday. We have mad many changes in plans during this trip but we believe that it is all God’s plan. We were supposed to go by Lakeland again on the way up here but instead we spent four days in Daytona Beach. When we got there we realised that it was spring break and tons of people around that needed to hear about Jesus Christ.
Last Friday we spent the entire day at the Gainesville race track and for us this is a learning process. We have the best possible mentor into this new ministry, Chaplain Tom Ratliff. He is training us and teaching us how he have been reaching the people within the car sports for the last 25 years. Experience is worth a lot.
It is touching to see so many racers receive prayers when they are standing in the staging lanes waiting for to get on the race track. Many of them are not yet believers but we do believe that prayers helps everyone closer to God. When we draw closer to God, He has promised to draw closer to us.
Friday night we got to set up at Cars Protection Plus in the pit area and we had a small concert. We loved that concept as people stopped and listened when they heard the music. Most important of all was that we got to share the message about Jesus between the songs and of course in the songs. We are most likely going to do a similar set up during the big Gatornationals next weekend.
Saturday morning we had RFC chapel service and we shared and took care of the music before Chaplain Ratliff brought the word of God. Another day of racing and the same night we spent some time with our dear brothers and sisters at Resurrected Life Church in Citra, Florida.
Sunday morning we had another chapel service before we left Gainesville. It sure was a powerful weekend and we are looking forward to next weekend at the Gatornationals that is a big national race.
After that we are going to be set up at the Daytona Spring Rod Run in Daytona Beach for three days. Chapel service on Sunday morning and we are looking forward to be there and let people know about the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
This trip has been totally different than previous trips and you who have followed us have seen that we have only had one church. Mostly outreach at big events like the Carlisle car show in Lakeland, Florida where this trip started. We have been and will continue to be out there reaching the people outside the four walls of the church. Sometimes it feels very discouraging but we just have to think that we do not see what God does. We see somethings but we do not see all the seeds that are planted and right now we feel that we are planing seeds, throwing them in all different directions. Someone has to do that as well, even if it is both rough and hard.
We believe that we are in this together. Without our partners this trip would never have been possible. We have good news for you. Because YOU have been part of the work praying or helping out financially we have won people for Jesus. This is worth way more than we can grasp.
