Another year at Gatornationals

21 March 2017
Dear friends,

We are back in Palatka after a very happening weekend. Last Thursday we left Palatka after having a transmission leak fixed on our ministry truck. We got into Gainesville late that night and following morning, Friday morning we headed towards the Gainesville Raceway for our first day at the great Gatornationals race.

Friday was a long day and we followed Chaplain Tom Ratliff who is our leader here. He is teaching us into this ministry how to reach the racing people and he has 25 years on experience. We got to talk to lots of people and if we can’t talk about Jesus we have nothing to say as Jesus is the reason we are here and Jesus is what we want to talk to the people about. Many good discussions and talks.

Saturday was another early morning that started with Team RFC staff meeting and prayer before we entered the mission field. Another day together with Team RFC. Brother Samuel from Sweden also showed up and we got to spend some time with him. It was a very powerful moment when he got to meet Big Daddy Don Garlits and they both shared about their accidents. I usually do not get goose bumps but when Don Garlits laid hands on Brother Samuel and prayed for him it was very powerful.

Saturday night we were invited to have a concert in the pit area and it was a great time of music and fellowship. It was not a ”christian place” but Jesus was in the midst of us and the message of Him was spoken out to those who came that night.

Sunday morning was even earlier. We got up at 5 am and we had our first Team RFC Chapel service at 7:15 am. The second Chapel service was at 8:00 am so they kinda went all in one. It was just the people who changed. It was a great time and I am surprised how many people came to attend church at the race track area.

God knows all the seeds that have been planted there and we pray for them to be watered. We had some wonderful days. I have to admit that we were exhausted after our days at the race but now we have rested up here in Palatka for two days.

Now we are off to Eustis and from there we return to Daytona Beach and the Spring Rod Run where we are going to be set up and meet and reach people with the good news about Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Thank you all for praying for us and for supporting us. We are not over the finish line yet but we are getting closer to the end of this trip. The spring and summer will be busy and we really feel that we are living in the theme for this year ”The Best is Yet to Come”.

God Bless
