Now we are back home in Finland after five weeks of ministry in the USA. Last time we wrote we had a couple of days off in Palatka. From there we drove to Eustis where we had a private party with music and testimony at Chaplain Tom Ratliff’s home. A great night with great people.
The last weekend of our trip we spent in Daytona Beach on the Spring Rod Run. We had our Team RFC stand there with Bibles and literature for the people to take. We had many good talks with people who wanted to know more about Jesus. There are lots of people out there who does not know the truth and how to receive Jesus into their lives. This is why we chose to be out where the people are and when ever we are sharing the word of God we can count on that seeds are planted as we know that the word of God never returns void.
During the evenings we hang out at Bel Air Plaza on A1A by the beach where the rodders, car people and spectators met. Also another great spot to be around people and what I like with the American mentality is that people talk to each other. This is when the opportunity to talk about Jesus comes, when we enter into a discussion with one person or a group of people.
Sunday morning we had Team RFC Chapel service and I shared some of the most important parts of my testimony, sang a few songs and Chaplain Tom Ratliff was preaching the word of God. It was a good end of our weekend in Daytona Beach.
We drove back to Okeechobee, where we packed our stuff and on Tuesday morning Pastor Dave Robertson took us to the airport in West Palm Beach. 25 hours and 45 minutes later we walked through our door here at home in Vasa, Finland.
During the last week of our time in the USA I received the news that my biological father was not doing good at all and that he was hospitalised. Last Friday we drove to my birth town, Jyväskylä together with my wife. On our way there I received a phone call that the situation was worse so they dropped me off at the hospital when we got there. I got to sit with my biological father and hold his hand for three hours before I left him there. I do not know how to describe my feelings about this as I have only known him for 6 years and I love my foster father who has been my dad since I was a little boy. Still I am thankful that I got to know my roots and get to know my biological father for these years. Later the same night I received the phone call from the hospital that he had passed away a few hours after I left. That is life, death is part of life but we will never become friends with death. When we know Jesus and we know that we receive eternal life through Him it is easier. I want to believe that my biological father took Jesus hand and that I will see him in heaven when that time comes for me.
Spring & Summer
Now we have been working on our summer car that we are going to tour with this summer. We are going to do many major events and we start touring again end of this month when we return to Germany.
We are going to be in Nurnberg for one week and minister with the Ambassadors For Jesus Christ MM and Ride On. A teamwork that has become to something we do every spring. We are also going to visit a rocker club (mc club) as well as a few churches during our two weeks in Germany.
The rest of the summer is going to be busy and most of our missions are at various events, mostly car and biker events. We want to be where the people are as that is where God can use us the way He called for 10 years ago. The 10 years with Jesus party continues and we are excited to be part of what God is doing worldwide.
God Bless!
