We are back at home in Vasa after some wonderful days in Porvoo, southern Finland. We arrived there Wednesday evening and on the way down I had the honor to meet our own legendary guitar luthier Matti Nevalainen at his shop outside the city of Tampere. I do not remember when we saw last but it is always wonderful to meet old friends again.
Thursday morning we picked up Lili-Ann and Kari Karppinen in Helsinki and we drove back to Porvoo together. The same evening we had the opening meeting for Porvoo Power Weekend 2017 and Kari Karppinen was preaching the word of God. Friday afternoon we were on the town square meeting people with music, prayers and personal talks. The second meeting at Missionskyrkan was Friday night and Lili-Ann Karppinen was preaching. We took care of the testimony and musical part.
Saturday we started the day on the town square again and it was a little bit cold out but we had good talks with people who stopped to listen to the music. We got to realise what a blessing the gift of music is when we are out there reaching people for Jesus. Saturday evening we had the main event in another facility and we got more people than expected. Together with Kari and Lili-Ann we shared our testimonies and our special guest this evening was legendary guitarist Jukka Tolonen. He shared his life story as well and we played together. We experienced a wonderful presence of the Lord.
Sunday morning we had the last meeting at Missionskyrkan and Lili-Ann Karppinen was preaching. For the first time ever Sebastian joined us on drums and we had a good time. Thank you ALL who came out these days and thank you Pastor Henrik Nymalm for having faith to do this. It was worth everything. We serve an awesome God.
Tomorrow we are off to Sweden for a short visit. We will be there and honor the memory of our brother Janne Paavilainen together with his family and friends.
BACK TO THE USA
Next week we are flying to the USA again and we have a long trip ahead of us. This is going to be something different. Never ever have we planned to travel as much as this time and we are excited about what God is going to do. We know it is going to be a hard trip but again; if we can reach people with the message of Jesus Christ and what He did for all of us on the cross it is worth everything.
We are in current need of people who believe in what we do who can pray for us. We know that God will provide but it takes people to act. We are far away from our budget and still around $6000 short for the entire seven weeks. Don’t you think one soul is worth more? We can not compare one soul to anything in this world. Let us do this together and reach the unreached and as always expect the unexpected.
