It is 13 days since we came home from a very successful missions trip to USA. We are still overwhelmed over what we witnessed Jesus do during our five week trip over there. These memories have been very important during our 13 days at home. It was not an easy arrival at all. Everything at home is wonderful apart for some frozen pipes that we have worked on and will continue on in the summer. We have rested and spent some time with the family. We have also been working on our project cars in the garage and this is good therapy for the soul. The hardest thing has been working and communicating with people.
With AMB Band in Nurmo
Last night we did a concert together with AMB The Blues Band at the church of Nurmo. Nurmo is about one our east of Vasa. AMB consist of fellow christians and it was the first thing we did together. Wonderful people and I felt that they and their crew are loving people. Role models for Christians in this world today. Down to earth people who realises that nobody will ever be perfect. I read someone wrote that we ARE perfect in Christ and that is also true in one way. I believe more that Christ in us is perfect but we ALL are having our issues, matters and problems. We ALL have things we need to allow the Lord to work on.
Last night there were over 200 people in the church. Many of them people who usually don’t go to church. There was an atmosphere of Jesus there in a very down to earth way. I think the disciples would have loved being there as we were all just like them, ordinary men and women but we have been together with Jesus. We pray and hope that those who came last night that not yet believe saw our imperfection as we never claim to be perfect. We do teach about a good God that is good all the time. Even when we fail God is good.
Falling on the road
So often when a christian fall people think the person is falling OFF the road. Well, this is not true as we ALL fall, again nobody is perfect. When we fall we fall ON the road and we have to allow God to raise us up again as that is His will. We need to surround ourselves with other christians that are loving so that we have someone supporting us when we fall. We do not need pharisees and scribes kicking us when we are down. We have witnessed it so many times that when a christian fall there are other christians kicking and stabbing the person in the back when the real christian way would be to be there as support and help. There are several stories about this in the Bible and the good Samaritan is a great example of a loving fellow christian. We should never forget that what we have done unto others we have also done to Jesus Christ and vice versa. The other way around can be really dangerous and this is a place where we need to fear God. Remember that when you fall you do NOT fall OFF the road. You are falling ON the road and God wants to raise you up again. Usually God is using our mess to bless. In other words, God is using our mistakes to build us up and learn so we don’t do the same thing again.
Germany
Last fall we had to do what we hate to do. We had to cancel a trip to Germany because we did not have enough meetings or ministry opportunities. Back then we were told that ”in Germany we need to know six months in advance and that then we can organise many things….”. Well, at the same time we gave the dates coming up now and the last weeks have been hard as the communication has not worked as it is supposed to work. We have many meetings, concerts and ministry opportunities set up this trip but almost one week in the middle we have nothing. The same people are saying ”we need to know six months in advance in order to set something up”. Well, we gave the dates over six months ago :) Well, it is what it is. We realise that we have to trust in the Lord and walk through to open doors. Something might show up on the way.
We are leaving for Germany on Tuesday evening and we are driving through Sweden down to Wetzlar. There we are going to base out of the first week. We have some wonderful places set up (see the calendar) as well as a visit at ERF TV again. From Wetzlar we are driving to Nuremberg for another week and some wonderful doors that are open. THEN we have a week off before we are heading towards formed DDR. We have engagements for our last week and we are grateful for these. Still we would rather spend a week off at home with the family. Again, it is what it is and we have to trust in the Lord.
For those who think we are getting paid for traveling around the world we just would like to say how it really is. We have a few partners that are helping us out on a monthly basis, sometimes more. We get something from our visits at churches as well as we might get a cd or two sold. Still we are paying for our travels and just to get down to Germany from where we live is costing around 500€ one way. This means we need to work ONE WEEK to get those expense covered. This is WHY we are in an urgent need of more partners who believe in what we do. We don’t do what we do for the money. We want to tell as many as possible about Jesus and about a totally new life in Him. IF YOU WANT TO PARTNER CLICK HERE!
We are leaving in faith again and so far it has worked out. It is just our imperfection that makes our mind think that it won’t work. Still we believe we could do so much more if we worked together. What can be more worth than plundering hell and populating heaven?
God Bless You All!
