Dear Friends,
Yesterday we returned from Sweden. We left last week on Wednesday and our first event was at a really cool retro café in Viksjö, Sweden. It was the owners Stefan and Monica who had organised this entire trip. The evening at their place was packed and it is always fun doing things outside the four walls of the church. I should say that 70% of the audience were non christians and as always it is wonderful to see their reaction to a true life story about what Jesus is doing in our time, today!
Car show at hospice
I know it sounds strange but miracles do happen. When I hear the word ”hospice” I think about an end station. A place where people who are terminally ill comes to spend their last days in life. At hospice in Sundsvall Stefan have a friend, Kent. He has cancer but he has received joy and power at hospice and people have prayed for him. He wanted to do something special so as an old car enthusiast he put on a car show at hospice. The weather was not on our side but still around 200 people showed up. Some really cool cars were parked outside the building and the view over the lake was just gorgeous. The served hot dogs, coffee and muffins and the people really enjoyed the time. When the fellowship was over it was time for a ”Rockabilly concert” and we do not do concerts without delivering the message of Jesus Christ to the people. As the weather was humid this was held indoors and this way we had all the people, the visitors and patients assembled at one place. What an honor to tell about the short life and the never ending eternity to these people. We know that there are no other ways to eternity in heaven than through Jesus Christ. The event was well received and reporters from some major Swedish newspapers and magazines documented the event. We are praying for healing for our friend Kent and the others and I hope that YOU will pray with us. We want to be able to report testimonies of miracles from this wonderful and different day.
Where are you going?
That is the question we ask people when we are out ministering. As I mentioned life here on earth is short but eternity is forever. This is the most important moment in what we do; to bring people to Jesus Christ and eternal life. Some people does not even know how to get saved and how to get eternal life. It is actually more simple than many believes as it has nothing to do with what we do. It is all about what Jesus already have done.
Everybody needs to hear that there is forgiveness for all sins and that everyone has the same possibility to repent (turn around), accept Jesus Christ into their lives as their personal Lord and Saviour. When we do this and use the faith we receive as a gift by believing in Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible it happens. We will get to heaven when we die. While we live here on earth Jesus will start to transform our lives, one day at a time.
Saturday we did an outdoor concert in Skadom and the same evening we had a meeting at the Pentecostal Church in Indal. We had our last meeting at the Pentecostal church in Stigsjö on Sunday afternoon before we started our journey back home to Finland.
Youth events
We have a couple of youth events lined up in Nykarleby, October 5th and Jakobstad, October 6th. To us it is very important that we reach the youth. It is not easy to be young today as this world has changed to something where we have to accomplish too much. For many young people this is hard and sometimes I feel that the youth can no longer be the ones God created them to be. We are looking forward to tell the youth about Jesus as what we do is all about Jesus!
USA TOUR
Mid October we are returning to the USA. This time will be really important. We are starting off with some events together with the Finnish Pentecostal Church in Lake Worth, Florida. We hope to have time to sit down with the church and talk about how we together can reach more people in the future.
We have already booked more alcohol- & drug recovery centers, detox clinics and prisons than ever before. These are the places where we really have an impact. If Jesus could set me free and keep me clean and sober for soon 12 years, He can also do this in all other peoples lives. All it takes is to convict them of that Jesus is real. We have some car shows set up as well as a few churches.
In order to do this we need your help. Our fundraiser with its 6000€ budget have only brought in 837€ so far and financially we have a long way to go. For those who don’t know, Rockpastor Ministries is a non profit organisation registered in Vasa, Finland. Our purpose is to reach those who really need to be reached with the message of Jesus Christ. Our calling is not to entertain christians.
We hope this is something we can do together and you will find all details by clicking here.
God Bless You All!
