This journey is one of the best in our soon 11 year history in full time ministry. The first week we got to see something we like to call a mighty harvest and we needed that explosive start I wrote about last week.
Thursday we drove up here to Gainesville, Florida where we have been at a drag race event this weekend. As I have been a Team RFC Chaplain for some years now we work close together with Team RFC on all motor events. This Friday Team RFC put on a cookout for all the racers and their teams and the turnout was great. While people stood in line to get their food I played my songs and spoke about Jesus. Seeds were planted and it was one of the best experiences I have had at a race ever. I hope we can do more of these cookout concerts in the future as food brings people together.
Saturday morning we had chapel service as well as this morning. It has been two early mornings but so blessed to see people at the racetrack get up early to come and listen to the word of God. This weekends race has been a preparation for next weekends big race, The Gatornationals. We are returning here then for at least two Chapel services Sunday morning that are going to be packed. To me it is a privilege to do this and to work with Chaplain Tom Ratliff. He is not only a good friend and brother in Christ. He is also one of my mentors that I do listen too. He has a long time in ministry and is very experienced and humble.
Tomorrow night we are stopping by in Eustis, Florida for a Celebrate Recovery weekend before we return to Fort Pierce. This week we have some recovery centers and when we have time we are going to do some recordings for the new album with some good old friends here in Florida.
GOD is opening new doors
A couple of days ago I got an e-mail from a good brother in Lithuania. He has been working on getting dates together after our German dates in April and May. We now are proud to announce that the tour continues from Germany through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia before we return home to Finland. We only have a few weeks at home before we leave for Germany and the tour is going to be longer than we thought. God has opened these doors so it is with great excitement we are walking through this doors, with one thing in mind: tell people about Jesus!
God´s purpose for our lives
What has been on my heart this trip is God’s plan and God’s purpose for our lives. 12 years ago I laid on my deathbed and it was over. God had another plan and I could never have believed what was going to come. If God had a plan for me, He also have a plan for YOU and for everyone. Therefore we need to encourage one another to seek God and His plan for our lives. Church pastors most important mission is to help the flock to find their place in the body of Christ and encourage them to serve and to include them in the discipleship. This is something that currently is not working in all churches. It is sad to see those churches where leaders are sitting on their high horses looking down at the rest of the congregation. This is NOT God’s plan at all. God has a plan for us all and do not let anyone take that plan away from you. Believe in Jesus as HE believes in YOU!
God Bless!
