Lots of things have happened since we last reported. We have been busy and it is a good thing. We have also had a few days of time to just chill and gain strength. Last time we wrote we were on the first drag race events of two in Gainesville. From there we drove for a wonderful Celebrate Recovery meeting in Eustis, Florida and continued to Fort Pierce where we currently have our base.
To be over here surrounded with loving and friendly people who are very encouraging has given more motivation to work on the new album. Four new songs have been recorded over here at ”Tall Pines studios”. We have had meetings with new connections and visited some recovery centers. Last weekend we drove back up to Gainesville for the Gatornationals, the second race of the two in our schedule. Due to rainy weather we only went for the two Team RFC Chapel Services Sunday morning. It was really good and people are hungry for the word of God. Imagine, this is early in the morning at a racetrack.
After the Gatornationals we had some days of rest. When we say rest it does not mean we lay on the beach. Actually I had the chance to spend some time in a hot tub with jets and that was a huge blessing for my back. During these days we have spent time working on the upcoming tour two weeks after we return home next month. We also had a chance to visit Daytona Bike Week.
This weekend we have been in Daytona Beach for the Daytona Spring Turkey Rod Run at the legendary Daytona International Speedway. We have been doing this since 2015. This time we did it all through our Buick station wagon and were able to play live music and share at various locations during the day at the speedway and in the evenings at the cruise inn at One Daytona across the road from the speedway. This was very successful. I think we have talked to more people during these three days than the last four years at this event. It was Sebastians idea to do it this way and it was a step in the right direction. Imagine to sit with a kid and his grandfather and talk about Jesus. Imagine to talk to people who have problems in their lives. They do not know what to do and then all of a sudden they get to hear about Jesus. I could share so many stories but they are all so personal that it is best that only God knows. At the end of the day it is God who does the main work.
This morning we ended the weekend with Team RFC Chapel service at the speedway. It was a nice little set up and we had a good time. It was the last time we saw our dear Brother Tom Ratliff for this time. He is such a blessing and a good mentor to both of us. We are now back in Fort Pierce and are entering the last leg of this trip. We have homeless ministry, recovery centers, county jail, detox clinics and Reach Church at Archies coming up. We will be busy and that is a good thing.
We are still around $1000 short on our budget to break even but we trust the Lord. He has taken care of us so far so we believe He will talk to peoples hearts to sow into the missionary work we do over here.
Another long tour coming up
When we return home we are going to be busy getting Rock Force One ready for next tour. We start off in Sweden April 19th and will continue down to Germany for two weeks. From there we are breaking new ground in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. We do not have all the dates yet but this is exciting. We are going to be busy and that is a good think.
God Bless You All!
