Dear Friends,
Another week has started. This means that another week is over. Last week was over our expectations in many ways. Remember we told you that this trip started with an explosion the two first nights when we saw many people in jail and the recovery clinics decide to follow Jesus. Well, it has kept exploding in the jail and at the places where the people are in desperate need of help. Not only help but a life change.
Last week Tuesday we started with feeding and ministering to the homeless in one of the parks here in Fort Pierce. It was our second time we got to do this with Katie’s Blessings Ministries. The same evening visited the Good Samaritan ministries in Port St Lucie. Last time I visited them was in 2012 when they just had started. They started with a handful of people in a thrift store and they had one house for people in need. Now they had new facilities and the sanctuary was packed to the limit. We ministered to around 160 men, women and children. All were like a huge family. There was a real hunger and thirst for Jesus there and God moved in a very powerful way. I think this is a true sign of church growth as they have close to 180 members today and 23 houses for people in need. Also it is not just a Sunday or Wednesday church. They have worship and teaching every evening except Saturdays. I know for a fact that people who are broken and getting their lives together really need this. Just looking back at myself when I was a baby christian. I longed for the next church service. I wish there were more ministries who could offer this to the people in need.
Wednesday and Thursday we were back in St Lucie County Jail. Chaplain Steve Miller have been working by our side in the jail but also in other places during this trip and God has connected us for a reason. It kept exploding in jail Wednesday and Thursday. We saw more people decide to follow Jesus and seeds were planted.
Friday and Saturday we were off and Chaplain Steve Miller presented a few songs he had written to me. I really liked them so we recorded them here at Tall Pines Studios in Fort Pierce. Two new songs for the coming album. This is very exciting.
Yesterday we returned to my favourite church in Florida, Reach Church at Archies. It was there I felt safe to be honest and open and give up last time we were here. Now I could just tell the people what the Lord have done and rejoice. We had a wonderful service and I was recognised as a Honorary Member of the congregation and a ”word evangelist” appointed by the Father Himself. What a glorious day. Thank you Pastor Dave and Reach Church for everything.
Today, April 1st we did our last visit in St Lucie County Jail and it ended like it started February 27th when we first went in there. We have been in there with Chaplain Steve Miller five times during this trip and I have to say that I am amazed. People are hungry for the word of God and they want to get into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Please pray for all souls who have been saved during this trip.
Tomorrow we are doing our last visit at the Detox Center in Okeechobee. Wednesday we were scheduled to pack but we got invited to minister at Recovery Church in Vero Beach. Two more days of ministry and in three days we are flying back home to Finland. It aint over yet and money can not buy what we have seen this trip. We are returning home more or less empty handed with another long tour coming up in less than three weeks. We need all prayers and support we can get. We are not giving up. We trust the Lord as He is good!
God Bless You All!
