Big Power Meet 2019

Now we have been in Sweden a week and it has been a blessed trip. Rock Force One have worked out well all these miles. We took the ferry from Vasa, Finland to Umeå, Sweden and stopped by at Mat & Nostalgi in Viksjö for one night on our way down to Lidköping and Big Power Meet 2019.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday we were in the middle of the cruising event in the heart of the city. We had our Rock Force One set up next to the tent where the local churches served free coffee and muffins to the spectators. Even if the weather was not really what we had expected we had a great time. Thursday we started playing in rain but the weather got better. Friday we had a fantastic day with good weather and lots of people and lots of talks with people. Saturday we cancelled the outreach due to rain but decided to go out there anyway as there was a period when it did not rain. When it started to rain again we packed our stuff and called it over for this year. We are more than happy with what we have accomplished together with the churches in Lidköping.

Without the churches being involved we could not have done this. They took good care of us and this is for us a logic way to work. We leave but the churches are still there and we need to work with people locally who can guide new people to fellowship with other believers and most important of all fellowship with Jesus. It is all about sharing the good news about Him.

Yesterday, Sunday we were invited to the local Pentecostal church and their wonderful summer place out by the lake Vänern. Lots of people and lots of love in the air. I wish more churches could work in a way like this. I did not see anyone boasting about their titles or roles. It was the body of Christ coming to serve together.

Now we have one more event this trip. Wednesday night we are going to be in the park in Sandviken and we pray for good weather. From there we return home to Finland but we will be back in Sweden later this month. Look at some highlights in the video.
