Again I am asking myself how I can manage to share my testimony over and over again. The answer is simple as when I give away that love that I have received I also receive more love and more passion from the Lord above. Last tuesday I got an unique chance to share my life among the youth at the Finnish Lutheran Church in Stockholm. It felt nice as some of them had never heard about Gods healing and restoration power before. In one way I get sad as believing in a God without believing in miracles is not enough. Our salvation is the biggest miracle of them all.
Wednesday we hooked up with the Finnish Pentecostals and held our first meeting at Finska Filadelfia in Stockholm. This night I did as usual with my acoustic guitar and people were excited to hear about what God have done in my life but maybe most excited about the coming meetings together with the band. For the first time ever I was scheduled to get up on the stage with a back up band. Of course I was excited as well but also a little bit nervous.
Thursday I had the honor to speak at St. Clara kyrka in central Stockholm and it is always nice to visit that church. They are doing an awesome job among the poor people in Stockholm and their doors are open 24/7. There is always a place to stay for those who are homeless. I thank God for pastor Carl-Erik Sahlberg and his church for their passion for the lost and for the poor. Many people have got a changed life through their ministry. Even if the building is that classical religious church look there is plenty of room given to the Holy Spirit to flow. Almost like going back to the hippie Jesus movement back in the days. Relaxed and lots of love.
After the meeting at St. Clara it was time to tune the electric guitars and hook up with Olle and the Gang. I like to call the band over there that. They are great and they did an awesome work learning the songs from the Ride to Freedom album. Thursday night we spent on stage playing and recording the music for the forthcoming live DVD. At present there is no time frame when it will be released and more filming is going to take place here and there. Hopefully it will be ready before the summer but I will let God decide the final timing. His timing is the right timing!
Friday me and my children did visit downtown Stockholm and of course we also visited the local Harley Davidson dealers. My record can now also be purchased at Harley Davidson City on Sveavägen in Stockholm. You might want to get yourself a bike at the same time!
The friday night meeting was awesome. I love when the youth shows up at church a friday night instead of hanging on the streets. The band played great and it was nice to see all my friends from Stockholm show up as well. I am blessed with my family over there, very nice people, most of them bikers but Jesus loves bikers too :)
Saturday I had two meetings as the finnish pentecostal network had a conference during the day. Playing rock and roll and speaking about Jesus are two seperate things. I decided not to play this afternoon as I really had a message from God to the church. I dont want to sound mean or hard but we have to face the truth and get up from our seats in church and bring the gospel out on the streets. We might pray for revival but we cant just sit inside our churches and talk. Faith without action is dead. We really need to step out of our comfort zones and do what Jesus called us to do. How can we love the Lord if we dont love those that are lost outside the church?
For me this meeting was very emotional. Three years ago when I laid at the local hospital facing death some christians visited me. One of them was Mika Halkola. He did not know me but some of my friends told him about me and during a conference in Vasa that time he came with some others to pray for me. He was the first living person that told me that Jesus had healed him and this ment much for me. Since then we never heard from eachother. Just a couple of months ago after my USA trip I got connected with him again and he got the news that I got healed, saved and delivered AND that I am out there spreading the good news. This day we met again for the first time and I could not hold my tears back. He told the congregation about me being yellow and it was a matter of hours when my life should have come to an end. We all know that it was Jesus that came and that I am here today only because of Jesus! This moment was awesome!
The saturday night meeting was also good. Not too many people came due to the snowstorm outside. Those who came got touched by God and again we saw people come up to the altar to receive. I cant wait to hear praise reports and testimonies. I have already heard a few and I am excited about how God is moving. He is so cool!
One thing I have to say: It is fun to play rock and roll but there is nothing to be compared with preaching the good news. Look at some of the songs on You Tube!
On the personal level me and my family are going through some real hard difficulties and we need your support. Please pray for our daughter and our family. We believe in God and excpecting a miracle. Even if we dont understand why certain things can happen we have to remember that God is good all the time and all the time God is good, even if I sometimes feel like I should give up. Please pray for us! I know all will be good but we really need your help.
Thank you all for being around and thank you Jari, Mika, Olle, Lasse, Janne and all other wonderful brothers and sisters in Stockholm for a wonderful week.
Stay Blessed!
