Today I have some really good news to share with all of you. The summer is finally here, the weather has been awesome and we have had a busy but great time ministering at different places.
Spring party with Vaasan Kansanlähetys
On thursday I was invited to the spring fest hosted by Vaasan Kansanlähetys, not far away from our home. I really felt happy and blessed to be with all these new brothers and sisters in the Lord and it was a great honor and priviledge for me to share my testimony there. First I did not really know how to start it off but as usual GOD had everything under control. Just before it was my turn a man walked up to me and told me that he was working as a nurse at the hospital where I laid facing death three years ago. That made it all and I invited him to come up with me and the people got to hear about what JESUS did from two different sides.
This humble brother told the congregation about that he did not say too much about the Lord and he did not make a number of his input at all. Anyway I have always remembered this brother and the small words of love and hope he gave me when I was facing death. We could all again see how many miracles JESUS did back then and it is just so exciting to tell other people about what HE have done for me and my family. Thank you JESUS for opening up a door to this bunch of wonderful people.
GOD sent me a little bird
On friday when I was doing some things at home I heard a strange noice in the room. First I thought it was some of my children doing something but all of a sudden a small bird flied thru the room.
Me and my son Sebastian got the bird locked into one of our bedrooms on the second floor of our house and of course the bird tried to get out. It was desperately flying to the windows and could not get out. It tried and tried and tried... We opened the door to the balcony and after a while the bird found the narrow gate to freedom and flew out. As soon at it was out it made a happy noice and I took it as a "thank you". It made me so happy and it also made me thing about my and many other peoples lives. I used to live in bondage with alcohol and drugs and like this little bird I tried to find my own ways out to freedom. I could not make it as well as the bird did not make it before someone opened the door. This time it was me opening the door for the bird so it could get free. For us it is JESUS who is the door opened and HE opened the door for me when I desperately had tried many different ways myself. Like the bird I am making happy noices to thank JESUS for that HE let me out from my past. This scenario made me really happy and it also gave me a message from above! Thank you Lord for sending that little bird my way, it helped me out with the sermon the same night.
Summer market and rock in Lapua
On friday me and my youngest daughter Jennette drove to Lapua, 80 kilometers inside the country from Vasa, where we live. The same night we hooked up with our dear friends, our brother Janne Mäki and his wife who came all the way from Toivakka to be there with us this weekend. There is really something about these people that I love and I know it is all from GOD.
Friday night was also the first time ever we did a concert with music and testimony as PJB & The Bluuster Boys. It was great fun to play and I really do love these brothers as well. I know that when we get to play more together this band will rock! Not too many people came to the local pentecostal church this friday night as it was really a warm summer night out there and we are only in the month of may. We ended the night with a great dinner and fellowship together and the local pizza- and kebab restaurant. We got us a great laugh there as our brother Jari Peurala, who also took care of our stay in Lapua had putted up a poster there about our meetings but when they saw we came in they got and grabbed it back from the waste bin and putted back up in the window :)
On saturday we spent all day at the "market street" in Lapua that were packed with people from all over the place. First I thought it was a bad idea for me to sing and play on the street as I have never been a "street musician" but when I started I felt GOD giving me inspiration and motivation. It was great fun and our friends sold Christian t-shirts and prayed for people during the day. After all it was a good day, even if I thought it was going to be waste of time.
At night we had a meeting at the local youth club and I gave my testimony! GOD really showed up and after the meeting I knew why it was important for me to be there this weekend. A young man gave his life to the Lord and got saved. I could feel the party going on in heaven and this one soul made my day. JESUS is awesome and for me it is such a blessing to be able to share about all the miracles and wonders HE have done in my life. Who would have thougth this four years ago when I was a drunk and drug addict? I could never have imagined that GOD would use a person like me! Here we can see that NOTHING is impossible for GOD and all the glory belongs to HIM. I am so thankful that I am alive.
This weekend was also a big blessing for me. It was our first journey ever for me and my youngest daughter. I really start to see how important it is that I do all I can to be the daddy my children never had before. Because of JESUS I have got a second chance and this makes me even more greatful.
