Men of Hope - Part 3

Dear friends, brothers and sisters,

Since I wrote last time, lots of things have happened and as always; God has been good. We spent some days in my hometown Vasa and I got a chance to be with my family as well as Michael got to meet some new friends that I know will remain in his heart forever and he will remain in their hearts. The last night at home, we visited my church where Michael presented two paintings he had painted during the days in Vasa. He donated one to the church as a gift and I had the privilege to be the owner of the first painting Michael Roberts ever painted in Europe. It was an awesome night at church.

From Vasa we drove up to Lagmansgården in Östensö, where my daughter has been living the last four years and we got a chance to meet and talk to the youth staying at this school home. The same night we had a packed meeting at the Pentecostal Church in Jakobstad.

Friday was a big day in history. My daughter graduated from school with good numbers and she is a changed girl. I am such a proud daddy today, proud of all my four children. It has not been the easiest to come out of the life I used to live and become the father my children never had but we are getting there and again; God is so good! Now my daughter Jennifer has moved back home and that is such a big thing for me. The same night we had a meeting at Missionskyrkan in Nykarleby and it was a great night as usual.

We have also been under spiritual attacks lately and to me that is just a sign that we are walking the walk, doing what God has called us to do. For two nights we had a crazy dentist show up and his presence changed the atmosphere both nights. The very second he walked in the atmosphere got cold and to all of us it was just a sign that someone does not like what we are doing. Friday night he was told to leave the church and it is not the first time this man has been removed from a church service. What we really need to do is to pray for him, that he finds the real Jesus, the loving Jesus. The reason he came to the meetings was to created division and he thinks that I am full of evil spirits as I visited Lakeland, Florida back in 2008. Sometimes I do not know if I should laugh or cry but in this situation I can not do anything else than laugh. That about that.

Saturday night we visited Frank Mangs Center and Michael gave his testimony there. His testimony did not only touch those who came to the conference that night, it also touched the heart of our swedish brother, evangelist Ingemar Helmner. Also this night we had major issues with spirits that did not want us to share the word of God, and for the first time in my life I was happy to leave the place the following day.

From Närpes we drove to Nådendal, where we had our last meeting in Finland at the local church for one of their Crosspoint nights. It was a night filled with joy and people got touched and we got to pray for people as well. I should say that it was one of the highlights during this tour, so much joy and we all know that the joy comes from the Lord.

The next day we got on the ferry from Turku, Finland to Stockholm, Sweden and we got a chance to relax and rest on the ferry. After we arrived in Stockholm we drove straight across the country to the other coast, the west cost, to Gothenburg where we had the first meeting in Sweden the following night. The meeting was a meeting hosted by LP kontakten at Smyrnakyrkan in the heart of Gothenburg. We had a great night and I had the band Betels backing me up. It was great fun playing with the band again as a change. Another night and we ended up praying with a bunch of people.

The following day was our day off and Michael spent the day together with Brother Berth, Sister Anja and their son, Matthew who drove all the way down from Sundsvall to hook up with us. We had a great time.

The second meeting in Sweden was in Vårgårda, Missionskyrka. This was also a LP meeting and there were lots of people and this night was something special. It was so special that I chose not to talk about it by respect to those who came there. Anyway we saw a handful people give their lives to Jesus, some of them got healed and that is all that matters. Salvation is the biggest miracle of them all.

We left Gothenburg and drove to Tibro and during Saturday we attended their town festival. I did a couple of sets of music outside the tent that was hosted by the local churches and in the afternoon I had a chance to give a short version of my testimony on the main stage. That is just another miracle that they let me up there as it was a totally secular event.

Yesterday we had our last meeting in Sweden, at the local Pentecostal Church in the morning and we had a great time. Michaels testimony did not leave anybody untouched, The Holy Spirit was present and touched all who came. After the meeting we drove here to Gräfsnäs, outside Gothenburg where we are right now.

Last night was a wonderful night of fellowship and BBQ. Thank you Brother Jukka Mäkikangas and Mission Göteborg for taking such good care of us.

Tonight we are taking the ferry to Germany and we have six more meetings in Germany on this first Men of Hope Tour. It is going to be hard days as we have only one day of rest between the meetings and lots of miles to drive. When we are done, we are continuing our trip back to Poland and we are taking Michael to the airport and he is flying back home to Canada and we are continuing our trip back home to Vasa. It has been such a wonderful time, also a hard time but so far Jesus has been with us and we have witnessed many miracles as stated earlier; salvation the biggest miracles of them all.
