It has been a while since I had a chance to write and keep you up to date with our going on's. Last time we had just returned from some wonderful days in Germany and now we are back in Germany and we have been on the road for 13 days today.
Jukka Tolonen
Between the two trips we had time to work some more on our car that is now inspected and in traffic. We also did two fantastic meetings with Finnish legendary guitarist Jukka Tolonen. One meeting in Vasa and one in Ilmajoki. To me it was amazing to get together with this man of God and to serve together with him. Last time I met him was at Tavastia klubi in Helsinkin in 1995 and we just briefly spoke. Jukka has an awesome testimony as well about how God can change a life and during the meetings we had we actually got to see peoples lives change. Praise the Lord!
Jukka also played piano on two songs on the new album and this was a very positive surprise. We had two fantastic days together and I have to say that Jukka got his own place in my heart and I hope to work more with him in the future.
Sachsen, Germany
As I said earlier we have now been on the road for 13 days and this trip is something really special to me. I get to have two of my children with me on the road. Sebastian is used to be with me as he has been on the road several times and he is an important part of the team today. This time my daughter Jessica is with us for the first time and this means so much to me. We have had some wonderful times together, the three of us and lots of fun.
We left home May 25th and after a 28 hour ferry ride we arrived in Travemunde, Germany. The same night we drove to the area of Wetzlar where we hooked up with sister Linda who happens to be from the same part of Finland as we come from. Another of the crazy divine appointments that God has orchestrated. We stayed at her house for two nights and we visited her church and got to know the pastors and the evangelistic team for some teamwork next year. Feels good to see and be in the middle of when Jesus is building His church.
From Wetzlar we drove to our Saxonian home in Klingenthal, a beautiful place on the Czech Republik border. The first day we had off and our first event was a Biker meeting with a Biker Service. It was located at the old ski jumping arena in Klingenthal and some hundreds of bikers came to hear the word of God, receive a blessing for the season before they
went out on a ride. When they got back it was time for me to share my life and I had some great musicians with me in the band. It sure was a glorious day.
The next morning was early, I was preaching and sharing in a church in another Saxonian town; Lengenfeld. It was another wonderful time and people were touched. Never ever have I experienced that I sell a full box of cd:s after one meeting. I take that as a good sign ;) Monday we had a day off and me, Jessica and Sebastian took a road trip through the Czech Republic to Chemnitz where we met with brothers Michael Sengle from Guideline Records as well as Michael Beyerlein who has organized parts of this tour. We had a great day but lots of driving on small roads, up and down the hills. Beautiful scenery.
Tuesday night we were invited to Specky's Rockbar & Bikerkeller to play and share the good news. Yes, a pub, restaurant or what ever you want to call it. We had a packed place and people were listening while they had a beer and something to eat. We had a wonderful night. Wednesday night we had a meet at EFG Church in Falkenstein and now I did not feel ok. I had had some kind of headache for the last two or three days but I managed to do the meeting and we had a great meeting. After the meeting they had organized a chiropractor who came and worked on my neck and back. Amazing how loving these people are here.
On Thursday we drove to Vielau where EFG church had a big tent conference and I had the honor to share my testimony and play my music. I could feel that there were several people who did not understand what something like me did at a christian tent conference but at the end of the night I understood all were happy as it is all about telling about the great things Jesus has done, not only in my life. It turned out to be another wonderful night and guess what? Yes, the chiropractor came there as well and continued to work on my neck and back and now I have not had any headaches :)
Yesterday we visited the prison in Waldheim, north of Chemnitz. We went in there as a team with prayer warriors and people who served the inmates food, coffee and drinks. I played a couple of songs with the prison band and it was the first time I played drums with a buddhist. When it was time for me to start to share my life and preach the word I had some inmates that had another belief and all I could see was that they were there to distract me and they managed to do so. I lost it and said something I should not have said but it was probably one of the toughest meetings I have had in the last eight years. Anyway, the others received the message and we had some good talks with some of the inmates before we drove back to Klingenthal.
The tour continues
Today we are driving to Pockau for a youth camp. Tonight I will play some music and tomorrow morning I will talk at their Sunday morning service. Then we are coming back to Klingenthal for two days off and on Wednesday June 10th we are going to be here at the church we stay at. June 11th we are leaving for one night in Dresden together with Stoffwechsel, another wonderful ministry. Saturday June 13th we have a concert / meeting in the big Luther Church (Luther Kirche) in Chemnitz and immediately after that we are driving to Bamberg to catch some sleep for a few hours as June 14th we have to get up at 6AM and drive to Stuttgart for the ADAC Biker Treff. They have a service there Sunday morning where I will speak and this will be the last meeting on this tour. From there we are heading towards home and we are scheduled to arrive at home June 17th, one week before it is time to leave for another trip. This time on a PTL Crusade in Ndolo, Zambia together with Pastor Tommy Lilja.
More later... we are alive and kickin'! This is the life, to be out here to talk about Jesus! Is it easy? No, but it is worth every second!
God Bless You All!
