Another week has gone here in sunny Florida and it is with a grateful heart we are writing tonight. Last week we drove to Daytona Beach for Bike Week 2016 where we played together with Scott Hazen, Skip Frye, Harley Lameroux, Landon Spradlin and Bruce Fry. Brother Spradlin was a brother we met for the first time and it was such a blessing to play together with him. During the days we played during the mornings in the swap meet area and Friday we did five full sets. Both Bruce Fry and Landon Spradling were inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame by brother Don Overbey from Music For The Soul Ministries.
It was the fourth year I had the honor to be part of the Music For The Soul ministry and every year it is with joy we play together and the purpose is to reach the people with the message about Jesus Christ through the music and our testimonies. We also had wonderful ”one to one” talks with people during our days in Daytona.
Friday night when we had finished our last set at Bike Week we drove to Citra, FL where we checked in at Pastor Jay Cheek’s farm and church. We were scheduled to have Saturday off and a meeting at his church Saturday night but due to rain the Sunday church service at the Lucas Regional Race at Gainesville Raceway was held Saturday morning. We got up at 5:30 am and drove to Gainesville where we hooked up with Team RFC Chaplain Tom Ratliff. I shared my testimony and sang a couple of songs and Chaplain Tom shared the word of God. We stayed for a while to check out some of the early morning races but drove back to Citra to get some rest before the meeting at Resurrected Life Church the same night.
We had a wonderful time at the farm and the church meeting at night was totally different than any other typical church meeting. The atmosphere was warm and it felt like it was one big family assembled. After the service we drove back to Okeechobee as we thought that if we get back we can rest all Sunday and we did. I only had to do a half an hour TV program for Öppna Kanalen in Gothenburg, Sweden but this was done with a grateful feeling as well as we are preparing to start broadcasting Life in Him on this secular TV station this fall.
During the days we have also filmed new Life in Him episodes that will be uploaded in our archives soon. Check out our archives at www.lifeinhim.tv
Today we took a ride to Fort Pierce to check on our JOHN 316 Camaro that should be painted within the next couple of days. We also had lunch with street preacher Smokey in Port St. Lucie who have been standing on the same street corner preaching for over 20 years. It was two years since we last met and we had lots of things to share with each other. One thing we both knew and that is the fact that we are living in the end times now.
Tonight we did a live radio talk show with a radio station in Maine. I got to share my testimony and ministry vision and it was a great time. They also played the song ”Hope” from the upcoming album with the same name. To you that have been waiting for the album to be released I have good and bad news. The good news is that you will grow in the fruits of the spirit as you have to be patient. The release is re-scheduled to November 2016 when we return to the US and we are talking with different labels about the release. I also realized that time flies and that we do not want to put out anything that is not good. With time we will have an album that is way better than the previous ones and this album will be something totally different. The official video for the song ”Hope” is now released as a teaser from the upcoming album and you can watch it in the media section on this page.
Upcoming events
Tomorrow we do our first visit at the local detox clinic here in Okeechobee, FL. On Wednesday we are doing a book signing thing at Central Assembly in Vero Beach. Thursday we are going into the youth prison here in Okeechobee and on Friday our friends Virpi and Jarno are coming over from Finland. They are joining us for the rest of our trip.
This coming weekend we are going back up to Gainesville to have church at the great Gatornationals event together with Racers for Christ. Next week we have Teen Challenge, Fountain of Life Church, the detox clinic as well as Real Life Children’s ranch on our schedule. The eastern weekend we are back in Daytona for the Daytona Spring Rod Run and our goal is to have the Camaro in shape by then so it can be a tool to reach souls with.
We are having a great time and it is not our job to share numbers or reports about what God is doing in peoples lives. God knows what He is doing and it feels better that those who have received Christ into their lives, received deliverance or healing share their own testimonies as we are not in the business of collecting trophies on a shelf. Our mission is to be out where the people are and bring them to Christ and get them connected with a local church or fellowship.
What I have seen on this trip and I believe this is something that God want’s to reveal is that there are MANY people out there who has a living relationship with Jesus but they do not attend church. The reasons are many and most of the time it is because of our man made, religious rules. Still I highly recommend to have fellowship with other believers as we do not survive on our own. We need each other and this is also why the church need to look over their priorities and start making disciples and sending them out, instead of throwing water on the fire. I have said it before. I God have been able to use us for the last 8.5 years, He can use anyone, including YOU!
As we continue our mission over here in Florida we kindly ask you to pray for us. This trip is totally different than the other trips as we are marketing the book ”It’s A Miracle”. We have done all churches and we are not going to receive any more offerings. To fulfill this trip we are in need of partners and by clicking HERE you will get more information about how to partner with us. We believe this is something we do together as there is only ONE body of Christ.
Warm Greetings, Love & Blessings
