Of course that was a joke but if we are serious and take a look at the church today we can say the same: if they do something it is a miracle! Why has it to be so hard for our believing brothers and sisters to do what GOD have called us to do? The word of GOD says:
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give." (Matthew10:8)
if we continue reading we can almost hear the voice of JESUS not only commanding the first apostles but also ALL Christians saying:
"Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, I am with you always, even until the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:17-20)
There ARE many Christians doing this today but if we count all of us and look at the complete church, the body of Christ those who have decided to preach to all nations are few. We are professionals on organizing conferences for ourselves and on staying inside the four walls of the church. Have you ever thought about what JESUS would do? I just want to encourage you all Christians to go out there and win some souls for JESUS. Thats what HE wants us to do!
Who said it is going to be easy to go out and preach the good news? Most likely a false prophet said so. No, it is not easy but when you freely have received and freely give you will see that GOD Himself IS with you, working through you and HE is also blessing you more and more. This is what I have experienced again this last week and weekend.
The first "miracle" to me was that my wife Hannele finally said YES to let me drive her on my bike. So far she have always refused but now she stepped over the line and I am looking forward having her behind me more and more in the future. I just love my wife and I thank GOD for her.
The last days I have had the honor and priviledge to be out there telling people about what JESUS have done in my life and what HE did for all of us 2000 years ago at the cross. My heart is broken when I see how people are. How people are destroying their lifes with alcohol and drugs. I should say nothing as I did it myself and I should just say; been there, done that, bought the record... For me it is different! Yes, I bought the record but I threw it away and JESUS came into my life. All because of one man who decided to do what JESUS called us to do; share the good news. Of course I did not listen at first and it took this man years of prayers and gray hairs to keep up the work with me but somewhere my brother and friend believed in GOD and DID what HE called him to do. I am just so thankful for this one brother GOD sent to me and so thankful for my brothers and sisters all over the world.
I decided to do my best and it was such a blessing to see people get touched by GOD and saved by JESUS CHRIST this last weekend. People where crying while they asked JESUS to forgive them from their sins and to me this is the best sermon ever; to see a person get saved and see when JESUS is moving in. WOW!
I am so glad that I am alive today and I am so thanful for everything. Of course life is a struggling road but GOD is always with us, no matter what your neigbour says.
I am thankful for this weekend and what GOD did in Seinäjoki friday night and for a long day at the Thunder Machine Bike Show here in Vasa. I am thankful for my brother Janne who came to visit this weekend from the middle part of the country and I am thanful that he got to see the sea. I am thankful for my church and it was such a blessing to be there together with my brothers and sisters yesterday, singing and praising the Lord.
Yesterday I actually felt the first love of JESUS again during the meeting in Kvevlax Missionskyrka and thats what I am after now. The first love of JESUS! It is all about HIM!
Stay Blessed folks and remeber that what ever you do, do it with LOVE! Things done without LOVE are not worth anything!
